Hi everyone! I hope you all had a wonderful 4th of July! I wanted to take a moment to introduce myself to those who don't know me before we get back into the swing of things on Tuesday!
My name is Emily. I have been in the industry since 2011 where I started out as a bather and quickly went on to start my grooming career the following year. I worked at a few grooming salons, but none ever really felt like home. That is, until, Kyra took me on in 2019. In the last seven years, I have watched her gracefully take on running and growing a small business, navigating the uncertainty of a global pandemic, the hard days, the great days, and everything in between.
I am incredibly grateful that I was given the opportunity to take over for Kyra. I am going to do my absolute best to make her proud and take care of her baby. I know I have some pretty big shoes to fill, though. I have learned a lot from her over the years and I plan to use that knowledge to keep Bark and Bubble the salon we all know and love. We will all (dogs included!) deeply miss her and what she meant to so many of us! Claire and I will continue to love all of your pups like they were our own.
I am not planning on changing much of anything in the way we operate. There will be a slight change to card processing, though. We will no longer be using Square. We will, instead, be using Clover. With this, we will be able to run your cards right at the shop! We can still send invoices if needed, but would prefer in person transactions. We will also continue to accept cash and checks! With that being said, card transactions will be TEMPORARILY UNAVAILABLE. I promise it will be up and running soon! We will do our best to remind everybody that typically pays via Square at drop off or when we call for pick up.
Now for the fun stuff! I have one dog. She is a 13 1/2 year old German Shorthair Pointer mix, Hemingway, from Puerto Rico. I got her when she was a tiny 10ish week old puppy and she has been the light of my life ever since. I have four Maine c***s. Ernest is 2, Marceline is 1, Puzo (who is also Ernest's mom) is 6, and my little baby Timothy is 8 months old. I also have my old man kitty, Koshka. He is 15 and has been with us since my husband found him abandoned in a parking lot. My husband and I have been married for 10 years. He is my resident handy man so you may see him around from time to time.
