One thing stood out at this year’s youth livestock auctions: local businesses showed up.

From tire shops and contractors to farms, feed stores and other locally owned businesses, it was our neighbors who stepped forward to support these kids and their projects. Across four local auctions, our communities contributed approximately $1.5 million—and much of that support came from small businesses right here in Southwest Washington.

Large corporations may have a presence in our communities, but local businesses are the ones we consistently see investing back into them. That’s worth remembering when deciding where to spend your money.

We’re loving seeing all the familiar faces at the Southwest Washington Fair! 🐷🐮🐑🐐

It’s always amazing to see our local 4-H and FFA kids showing their animals and watching all of their hard work pay off. From early mornings and late nights to months of feeding, training, and caring for their animals—these kids have put in the work!
