On Tuesday the 8th we had not 1 but 2 calves born. #2 had a bull calf late morning and #216 also had a bull calf in the early evening. These 2 calves both have gotten out of the fence away from momma since born. One stayed close by while the other well....Last night went to vaccinate and tag #2's calf while it was in different pasture away from mom as she is very protective. Got shots done while it was sleeping then woke as I was trying to tag ear and bolted through 3 fence lines into the hay field. The hay field that is so damn tall and thick that you can barely see anything...(Broken equipment, weather, etc. You know if it can go wrong around here it will!) 🤦‍♀️ Me and my brother walked all over in the hay field last night looking until we couldn't see no more. I looked again first thing this morning and nothing, did chores, then took the dogs into field in hopes to flush him. Within 10 mins dogs had him and helped direct back him into pasture where he belongs.
