This is an ad I put out to my town’s folks - I was hoping to get a small amount of help with training my dogs - no interest yet. When I was a kid, I would have been totally interested - but maybe not kids these days?

Are you a local teenager who loves dogs and wishes you had a bit more cash to spend on a Hot Diggidy Dog 😊? Here’s an opportunity you might be interested in. You will also gain some experience in dog behavior and training.
I’m seeking a teenager to help as a dog training assistant between 1 and 4 hours/week during the summer once school is out (depending on the week and the weather). It will be in the vicinity of Chatsworth or on Russ Anderson Road at my blueberry property.
You do not need prior dog training experience but you have to be comfortable with friendly, exuberant Golden Retrievers. You also must be skilled at listening and following instructions. We will be working on recallers games, teaching the dogs self control and also retriever training.
You have to have the strength and confidence to hold onto the collar of an up to 55 pound dog and not release until I call the dog. It will also help to be able to throw a retriever bumper or a dog toy or other distraction to a targeted area. I may be able to work with your schedule if you have other summer commitments (we will have to talk and see if our schedules will work).
