Today, we celebrated an incredible milestone—Dr. Ken Schoolmeester's 50th year in veterinary medicine!

The Mixed Pet team surprised him with a special "Back in 1976" themed celebration and a plaque recognizing five decades of compassionate care, leadership, and dedication to pets and their families.

Congratulations, Dr. Schoolmeester!

This is Baxter!! Baxter is one of our sweet senior patients. He & his mom had a pretty great day yesterday🎉🩵🎉
(the first 2 radiographs were taken July 2025, the other 2 images were taken yesterday)

In July of last year, radiographs showed a large mass in his chest. This news was devastating to his family, as anyone could imagine. With Baxter being 11 years old, their plan was to take Baxter home to give him as much love as possible for as long as possible. Baxter has been, surprisingly, feeling ok over the last 8 months, living his best life.

Yesterday, Baxter came in to have some lab work rechecked and follow up radiographs to reassess the mass in his chest.

We were absolutely blown away & could not believe our eyes when seeing his new images…….👀🤯🥹🥳
the mass was gone!! GONE!!!🎉🎉

We can’t explain it, but we are all so happy for Baxter🩵🩵
Definitely told his mom to buy a few lottery tickets!🍾🍾🎉🎉

We love you, Baxter!!🩵
