Hello, my name is Marmalade, and just like my name, I’m as sweet as can be. I came to Faithful Friends as an outdoor cat, but I’ve quickly learned how wonderful life indoors can be. Though I can be shy around strangers, once I get to know you, I’m very affectionate and especially love chin scratches.

I’m almost never upright when humans are around...I’d much rather flop onto my back, inviting you to give me belly rubs. But be warned, succumbing to this temptation may be trouble for your hand! With my striking green eyes and sassy little personality, I’m sure to melt your heart.

I’d do best in a quiet home with seasoned cat owners, and I would love an enclosed patio or catio so I can still enjoy the fresh air. I get along well with other cats and am friendly with people once I feel comfortable. While I don’t enjoy being picked up or sitting on laps, I’ll happily curl up next to you or rub against your feet for attention. Since I have long fur, I need regular brushing and get a yearly shave down to prevent matting. Some may say I look silly, but I love to strut my stuff as a lioness.

Feather toys are my absolute favorite, and I promise to keep you entertained with my playful side. I’m an all-around great girl who’s ready to find her forever family...if you think I might be the one for you, apply today!

Marmalade has been spayed, combo-tested negative, dewormed, treated with Revolution, and is up-to-date on age-appropriate vaccinations. The adoption fee is $125 each.
The first step in the adoption process is to submit an adoption application, which can be located and submitted online, on our website: www.faithfulfriendsnc.org/adopt

Once your completed-in-full application has been submitted, the humans will review it. If the humans have questions or want to set up an appointment for you to meet one of us, they will contact you. Please read all guidelines before sending in an application. Do not reach out to the sanctuary about the status of your application, we will contact you if we are interested in setting up an appointment.
Thank You!

Hello world! My name is Irene, and I was adopted yesterday.

Just one week ago, I was one of three Poodle mixes who arrived at Faithful Friends matted, scared, and unsure of what life had in store. My family lost everything in Hurricane Helene, and I went to live with a community member before making my way to the sanctuary.

When I got here, sanctuary staff took me straight to the groomer, who shaved off nearly five pounds of tangled fur and matting. I then made a trip to the vet for vaccinations, a heartworm test (negative!), f***l test, physical examination, and heartworm preventative. I also got antibiotics for a skin abrasion, ear medicine for a painful double ear infection, and an appointment to be spayed next week. Once I was cared for, I felt like a whole new dog—lighter, healthier, and ready to play!

Now, I’m a fetching queen who loves long walks and making new friends. Best of all, I got a visit from two nice people who wanted to take me home and give me all the belly rubs I could ask for! I am so glad I found my forever home, where I get to snuggle on cozy couches and soak up all the love I deserve.

✨ Look at my one-week transformation—a true diamond in the rough. ✨

Hello there! My name is Tallulah, and I’m one of three goldendoodles who recently arrived at Faithful Friends. At about 40lbs and 1 1/2 years old, I have lots of life to live and a whole wide world to see!

My family lost everything in Hurricane Helene, and I went to live with a community member before making my way here. When I first army crawled into the sanctuary, I was scared and covered in mats, but after a much-needed shave and some ear infection treatment, I’m feeling like a brand-new pup!

Since I’m only about a year and a half old, just about everything is new to me: leashes, cars, houses, you name it. I’m very sweet, affectionate, and food-motivated. I’m learning all about toys and playtime, but what I really love most is soaking up all the love and attention I can get. I seem to be interested in playing with other dogs and have been silly with my next-door neighbors at the sanctuary.

Because I’m still learning the ropes and figuring out how to be a dog (and how to walk on a leash), I will do best in a home with experienced dog owners who have a fenced-in yard and can provide me with patience, structure, and plenty of TLC. The humans at the sanctuary will work with you on timing to take me home because I have not been spayed yet, however applications are open now!

My adoption fee is $250, which includes all of my vaccinations, my upcoming spay, heartworm preventative, and a microchip. If you’re ready for a goofy, loving goldendoodle to join your family, I can’t wait to meet you!

Review the adoption guidelines and submit your adoption application at www.faithfulfriendsnc.org/adopt

Hi, my name is Buddy: allow me to reintroduce myself! I am the total package!

🐾 Walk nicely on a leash
🐾 Potty training star 🌟
🐾 Chill in my crate at night
🐾 Love dogs, people, and cats
🐾 Expert cuddler and car rider
🐾 Sit right beside you at the vet

I just came back from an amazing two-week adventure that showed me all life has to offer, and now I’m ready to go home…with you.

Do you want a dog who walks politely on a leash, plays fetch during the day, and curls up next to you at night? That’s me! I’m as close to the perfect pup as you can get. I love walks and exploring, but I also have an “off switch” when it’s time to relax (the couch is my favorite piece of furniture).

I get along well with dogs and people, and I’m pretty unfazed by cats (though a slow introduction would be best since I’m a big guy). I’m catching on to potty training quickly, and I’m a total sweetheart. I am working on crate training, don’t beg at the table, and know how to settle when the humans are busy.

I’d love a fenced yard for my zoomies, and I’d be happy either as a solo dog or with a playful buddy. I still get into a little puppy mischief (apparently shoes are not toys — who knew?), and my current nemesis is the television (seriously, where do those people go?!), but overall I’m very well-behaved.

I can’t believe I haven’t found my forever family yet...I’ve been searching most of my life! I’m the perfect car-ride partner, hiking buddy, camper, explorer, and best friend.

Adoption fee: $250 (includes vaccinations, neuter, heartworm prevention, and flea/tick prevention). For that price (and maybe a pupperoni or two) I could be your new adventure partner and cuddle buddy.

Hello World! My name is Waffles, and just like my name, I am nothing but sweet. I am a 3-4 year old Poodle mix (maybe Goldendoodle?), weighing about 45 lbs.

Life has been a little rough lately. My family lost everything in Hurricane Helene, and I went to live with a community member before making my way to Faithful Friends. I was a bit out of sorts when I arrived and needed a complete shave due to matting, along with care for some cuts around my eyes and a double ear infection. But please don’t let my appearance fool you. I am one of the sweetest girls you will ever meet, and now I am ready to find my forever home.

I walk beautifully on a leash and I absolutely LOVE affection. At the vet, I behaved like a perfect lady, sitting calmly next to the sanctuary staff the whole time. My favorite activity is to curl up beside a human while they pet my face and chest, with the breeze blowing through my fur. I get along well with cats, other dogs, and people of all kinds. I am a gentle, sensitive soul who just wants to be loved and have a warm, safe place to rest my head.

My energy level is low to medium. I’ll happily play a few rounds of fetch, but then I am ready to relax and enjoy cuddles. If you are looking for a loving companion who will shower you with affection and be your snuggle buddy, I am the girl for you.

I am currently in heat and will be spayed once that cycle is finished in about 2–4 weeks. Applications are open now, and the humans here will work with my future family to decide the best time for me to go home. I am dewormed, heartworm negative, on preventative, and up to date on vaccinations including rabies, distemper, and bordetella. I will also be microchipped when I am spayed.

My adoption fee is $250, which covers all of this care. Review the adoption guidelines and submit your adoption application at www.faithfulfriendsnc.org/adopt

Once your completed-in-full application has been submitted, the humans will review it. If the humans have questions or want to set up an appointment for you to meet me, they will contact you.
