Afternoon nap photo shoot!

We currently have several kittens looking for furever homes! Caterpillar, Cricket, Firefly, Loki, Sriracha, and Squid are all available for adoption and ready to go! Blossom, Bloom, Bud, Ladybug, and Little Bit still need to be altered and microchipped before they can go to their new homes but we are always accepting applications for them!:)

We also desperately need donations! We have managed to raise $50 thanks to 2 lovely donors! We still need to raise $389 to recoup our funds to make sure these guys get proper veterinary care! We currently only have $180 left to care for all these little angels. If you can donate please follow the link in our bio.

Our rescue recently partnered with a woman who has been rescuing cats on her own but having a hard time finding them homes. She trapped many of them when they were young strays, got them vetted, socialized, and they are now getting close to turning a year old and still haven’t found homes. She reached out to us asking for help so we stepped in! If you know anyone interested in adopting sweet kittens please send them our way! This weekend we welcomed a new BFF! Everyone meet Lola, our first rescue dog!🥰
A family friend found this poor angel wandering around a community garden and texted me pictures asking for help. Although we are a cat rescue, I couldn’t say no to that sweet face and immediately drove over to find her and take her into Veterinary Emergency Group to get her some much needed help. Based on the wounds, the injury was old since it had mostly healed over with the exception of a couple spots that were still draining. The doctor and nurses cleaned up her face as much as she’d let them and sent her home with some antibiotics. She is estimated to be about 4 months old and she’s the biggest cuddle bug!🐶💕
The following day, her wound was smelling a little funky so we took her back and they sedated her this time to clean it better, and under the scabs and discharge from the wounds were some small pockets with wooden pieces embedded into her face. We had them taken out and she already looks better! The doctor believes Lola was hit in the face with an object purposefully due to the irregular shape of the wound and how deep into her face the pieces were. 🥺
This was obviously sad to hear, because even though Lola had a sad origin story, she is the sweetest and calmest puppy and we are going to make sure that she gets the life she deserves! She is now resting with a foster family and getting caught up on lots of snuggles and we hope her journey to recovery is smooth from now on! 🙏🏼

In other news, our girl Sweet Potato was adopted yesterday! This leaves our lovebug Julieta as our remaining kitty looking for her forever home! We’re hoping to find her a home soon to be able to take in more BFFs! If you know someone interested in adopting or fostering please send them our way!!

It’s been a week since Apple’s surgery and she’s rocking her new bandage repping Veterinary Emergency Group! She gets weekly bandage changes until she can have her splint removed. In the meantime she’s getting extra socialization since we go on daily field trips to my job where she gets cuddled by everyone!

Apple Pie is being spoiled rotten during her stay at Veterinary Emergency Group in Charlotte! They even made her the cutest art on her bandage! She’s was just discharged and is going home with a foster to keep her nice and calm away from her playful sister for the weekend!
