Thought I would share I have always thought we over vaccinate our dogs especially giving them vaccines all at one time ❤️ Your vet might call it “routine.”
But a growing number of veterinarians and scientists are sounding the alarm about over-vaccination-especially in breeds like Goldens and German Shepherds.
Fact: Golden Retrievers are one of the most over-vaccinated and cancer-prone breeds.
Fact: Core vaccines like distemper and parvo often provide immunity for 7-9 years-or even a lifetime.
Fact: Yet many dogs still get the same shots every year... without a second thought.
Here’s what they won’t tell you in the exam room:
Repeated vaccines don’t always mean stronger protection.
In some cases, they can mean overstimulated immune systems, chronic inflammation, tumor growth, and increased disease risk.
Experts have even linked early spay/neuter and excessive vaccines to heightened cancer risk in breeds with already vulnerable genetics.
If your gut has ever said “this feels off” in the vet’s office...
