I am going to keep it real for a second…..

Rescue is breaking me down right now. I have 4 amazing boy cats that have not had a single application. These guys are the most wonderful loving cats imaginable and they have been completely looked over. At the end of the day, the responsibility of these 4 cats and their lives ultimately rests solely my shoulders. As the days, weeks and months pass by, the weight of that reality is slowly turning into the panic of “what if?”. What if no one ever wants them? What do I do then? That is the reality of being the sole owner/operator of a rescue and the fear of the “what ifs” is crushing. This is all happening while the calls and referrals continue daily for help with the hundreds of unwanted and abandoned cats and kittens. It is overwhelming 😔.
