Today is a good day to brag on this beautiful boy - As we headed out the front door for the shop Baelfire and Cassidy stopped dead, with their noses in the air & made a bee-line for the pick up which held the deer that my guys were able to harvest yesterday afternoon.

The primal drive to investigate was STRONG, but stronger was their loyalty to me, which Baelfire modeled perfectly for little Cassidy by immediately responding to my whistle, and command to "load up". Cassidy likewise (with a bit more convincing tone), came away from that powerful draw & obeyed me.

This quality is one of my most favorite of those that are inherently a Shiloh trait, the desire to follow our lead... evidenced again in these photos where Baelfire patiently complied as I turned, and stopped, and tried to force a good stack so everyone could see him at his best.

Funny how hard obedience can be for us, but is so instinctive for them.
