Josey Lynn attended her 2nd MLB game for the week, this time up in Pittsburgh at PNC Park.
She got to work today, helping "push" through the crowds and "blocking" in lines.
When a service dog is providing a service of blocking, they are providing a safe space around their human that is needed. It is not the time for you to try to get so close to the back of that person in the line, that you are practically touching their dogs face.

Josey Lynn has been working OT here in Washington D.C. A lot of crowds to work through for her dad and today was low BP day for me.

She has been all over D.C. the last 2 days and even a MLB ball game! Chicago even won!! We also had a scheduled private tour of the Capitol today, they were great to work with and employees at the Capitol were very accepting of us utilizing a trained service dog.

Also a picture in this thread of how we like our service dog to be positioned while we are out to eat. She tucks under the table, so she is not in anyone's way.

Everyone has been fabulous except one Lyft driver today who tried to refuse us a ride, that did not end like he expected.

Dogs are so much smarter than most humans give them credit for. This girls ability to read people and a room is A+!!!!

Good afternoon all!!

We are officially closed until Sunday, August 16 for our annual vacation!

We have been open everyday since March 5 (except the 1 week we closed in June for K9 National training). We are looking forward to this week of down time!!

Yesterday, Service Dog in Training "Yogi" got to finally meet his new partner.

After 2 weeks of establishing Yogi's basic on leash obedience here, he was ready to meet his person and continue now into the "bonding phase" for 2 weeks.

Remember Yogi's back story started him at Washington County Animal Shelter. Then, to a wonderful foster home for over a year. Finally, ended up at K9K Solutions, LLC to have the opportunity for a bigger calling, a service dog for a Veteran.

Welcome to the newest team and we look forward to continue to work with you towards success.

I want to thank all of our current and future customers and take a moment to explain ghost employment!

Just for those that do not know, Adam will not take phone calls, emails or talk K9K when on duty. He will always refer you to our FB page, business email (that comes to myself) or provide a number to reach out to me.
It is never personal to you at that moment!

However, when you wear a uniform and do other business that will provide you a income at the same time, it is called ghost employment. That can get him in a lot of trouble at the PD.

So please know, it is never to blow you off but to honor his badge and ethically run his business in an upstanding way. I am available until 7pm on weekdays to message or text you back. If you call and I cannot answer, please free feel to shoot me a text. Sometimes I cannot hear in the dog bldg to answer. 🐾
