Dog Walking & Grooming Services We have an exciting announcement about the PAWsome happenings in Charlestown.

As of January 1, 2016, Britt Turgeon and Lindsay LaRocca will be taking over the Durty Harry’s 287 Main Street, Charlestown location and will be transitioning under a new name “WAGS Charlestown, Walking & Grooming Services”. Brittany is running the grooming show and Lindsay is running the walking club. Please know that we will be business as usual, providing the personalized attention to each of y

our pups that you have grown to love and depend on over the last five years. Going forward we are 100% committed to delivering the same exceptional service in addition to some new features and we’re so very excited for what is in store for 2016! This will be our new Facebok Page- WAGS Charlestown. All other social media has also been transitioned over and is live now including: Instagram, Twitter and Snapchat! Please follow us and use our fun hashtags and so we can see what all our favorite pups are up to! Our new website is www.wagscharlestown.com

Wishing GOOD LUCK to all the Boston Marathon runners this upcoming Monday, Patriot’s Day 4/21!

The WAGS Walking Club will remain open for walks, so our clients can cheer on any friends that are running! 🏃🏻🏃🏻‍♀️🏃🏻‍♂️Please note that all regularly scheduled Monday walks will remain on the schedule, unless you log into your Pet Pocketbook client portal and cancel by 3 p.m. Sunday.

Grooming will be closed due to daycare closures and limited road access!

Kicking off this cold Monday by officially welcoming the cutest Harlow to the WAGS Walking Club! This 15 week old party gal Golden has already started crushing loop life, loves being around dogs of all ages, but especially her instant bestie, Gerry 💛 Right now we’re working on trying not to pick up all the fun things on the ground

📍 Fun fact: She’s the little Sis to one of our favorite Golden gals, Millie! Since puppies are exhausting 🤭, Millie gets to enjoy some time apart on her own pack walks with until Harlow grows up!

Big news, WAGS fam! We have a new tiny potato in our WAGS Walking Club—everyone, say hello to Willow🐶✨ This 3 month old English Black Lab is already working hard with her trainer 🙌🏼 We’re so excited to watch her grow with our crew!🐾

Yesterday was ADORABLE!!! 🤩🤩🤩 We welcomed two super cute dachshunds to our WAGS Walking Club!!

Both Lox and Stanley recently moved into Charlestown 🏠🐾🌆 While yesterday was their FURST day meeting and walking together, they were INSTANT besties 🫶🏼 They have nailed walking together and posing adorably, but we need to work on some of our leash skills while we’re out and about town!

We’re excited to get Miss Lucille into this mix for a little dachshund trio, stay tuned for more adventures, and give these cuties a follow: 🐾

Attention grooming clients- We are in the middle of yet another virus in my house during this never ending cold and flu season. Between this and some storms coming through, we will likely have to reschedule appointments yet again this week. We are truly sorry for the inconvenience and will do our best to get everyone in as quickly as possible, but we’ve had to reschedule countless grooms already, so we’re in a never ending game of catch up. Please bear with us, I promise I’d rather be at work grooming your dogs than at home holding my daughter’s hair back.

Where to even begin? Long before COVOD, I hired an incredible dog walker, & with her came a new client for us. A big ol’ goofy Bernese Mountain Dog named Gordon 🧸

Stubborn in typical Berner fashion, he much preferred Katie’s company in his family yard or living his best stoop life watching city life go by. Gord made SO many friends during his time in Charlestown, hosting so many yard parties and eventually walking with allllll sorts of crews with each of his WAGS Aunties! He lovedddd his SPAW days at the shop- every 4 weeks so he could be sparkly clean 🛁

He was one of my favorite snow dogs, thriving in wintertime, begging the snow Gods to dump as much fluff as possible. As spring turned into summer, and those temps started rising Gord became a lazy boy with the exception of when he could go and hang in the water by the boat ramp. We are so lucky to have been able to spend many years, loving this floofy🧸

Unfortunately this past September he was diagnosed with lymphoma and fought the very best fight these past months. Last Thursday we spent some quality time in the snow creating artwork and at his final oncology appointment Friday, he gained his wings 🪽 Our lives are forever, changed by meeting this special boy and his incredible family, who are so supportive of the Charlestown community and his WAGS family. We love you furever, Gordon! 🐾🌈🕊️

It’s here at WAGS!! Yesterday we welcomed the newest itty-bitty, FLOOF to Charlestown, ! His amazing mom Stephanie reached out to me months ago in preparation for getting a new puppy, making sure we had room in our schedule to accommodate 🤩 We’ve been anticipating this arrival to town and yesterday was his FURst day with the WAGS Walking Club!

We worked on pottying outside, short car rides, introduced him to some of our crew, listened to noises of the shop & worked on name recognition. It’s easy to say he fit righttttttt in 😊 We are so excited to help raise him and watch him grow up!!

A little belated anniversary post 😍It’s always a tad crazy to look back at WAGS Charlestown’s journey 🐾💛🐕

We opened our doors with a rebrand on January 1, 2016 at 287 Main Street with high hopes and higher expectations of what was to come in this new era! We quickly moved onto 227 Bunker Hill and spent many happy years in a beautiful new spot. In a W I L D turn of events, ended up back at our beloved, original Main Street location last November 😊😊😊

We feel so lucky to have built a wonderful women owned, women run Charlestown company and look forward to many more years serving this community 🫶🏼We are so thankful for the familiar faces who have stuck around all these years & our amazing new clients- you are our WAGS family, and we’re so grateful for your support & kindness every day! 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼

It’s the M O S T wonderful time of the yearrrrrr & Dixie is alllllll smiles hearing we should be getting snow over the next week! ❄️Winter pups are the cutest❄️

Reminder that next week 12/23-12/27 is our WAGS Walker’s Winter Break & we will not be offering any walks!

Grooming is open next Monday 12/23 9am-5pm & then closed for the remainder of the week!

Our Story

WAGS Charlestown, Walking & Grooming Services opened it’s doors on January 1, 2016. Owners, Britt Turgeon and Lindsay LaRocca are long time friends who met through their love of rescue, volunteering for Last Hope K9 Rescue. They are truly “crazy dog ladies,” who love nothing more than keeping pups and their families happy and healthy. Britt runs the grooming show and Lindsay runs the walking club. Together, they hope to support the Charlestown dog community in every way possible through education, community service and fundraising!
