Some people become family, even without blood and Shima is one of those people to us. He is part of our Inland Reef family through one of our employees, but more than that, he’s been a dear friend for many years. Our hearts are with him and his family as he begins this fight.
We’re asking our community to come together in prayer, love, and support. Whether you’re able to attend or simply keep him in your thoughts, every bit matters. 💙

We have a community member, a restaurant owner, and most of all friend who is beginning his treatment for Stage Four Prostate Cancer.
Shima, our local “Japanese Hillbilly” has been there time and time again for our community and it is now time to come together for him and his family.
We are in the process of planning a fundraising event in June, we will have more details soon on that, but in the meantime I would like to extend the same love that was given to us when my husband was in the hospital.
Can we, as a community of those who love Shima and his family, meet at his restaurant Shima's Family Restaurant Sunday, January 11th (tomorrow) at 5PM and pray for the miracle in healing? I know many of us want to help however we can and we feel helpless, but what we CAN do is pray.
So… if you can… let’s show their entire family our support!!
If we spill out into the parking lot, so be it! JW is living proof in miracles and in the power of prayer.
