We are so excited to launch our annual holiday donation drive supporting Charleston Animal Society Berkeley Campus!

We’re working to fill 300 Christmas stockings with goodies for the cats and dogs at Berkeley Animal Center, as well as collect much-needed items from their wish list.

We’re accepting:
• New & gently used blankets and flat sheets (no fitted sheets)
• New & gently used toys
• New & gently used towels
• New & gently used leashes & collars
• 1–2 gallon Ziploc bags
• Puppy training pads
• Creamy peanut butter (no xylitol)
• Dog training treats
• Cat toys
• 0.25 lb paper trays
• Paper towels
• Ice cream cones
• Soft tortilla shells
• Stuffed toys
• Dawn dish soap
• Laundry detergent

Seasonal Team Member Wanted! 🐾

Daniel Island Paws and Claws is looking to bring on an experienced pet care provider for our busy holiday season! 🐶🐱

We’re seeking someone with flexible availability to assist during November and December, especially over the Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year’s holidays.

About the position:
•As-needed basis with potential to continue after the holidays
•Services include overnight care in clients’ homes, dog and cat drop-ins, and dog walking
•Must have prior professional pet care experience and excellent references
•Must be reliable, trustworthy, and comfortable working independently

Today my DI Dentistry family surprised me with flowers and cake to celebrate being named a finalist in the Post & Courier Charleston’s Choice Awards. Calling all Charleston pup parents! ✨🐶 Your dog’s social calendar is about to be jam-packed with tail-waggin’ fun this August! From splash days to street strolls, here’s what’s happening around town:

📅 August 9 – Dog Day Afternoon at Splash Island (Mt. Pleasant)
💦 $15 in advance | 10 AM–3 PM | Off-leash splash time for pups only!

📅 August 10 – Second Sunday on King Street
🛍️ Leash up and explore local shops, bites, and Charleston charm.

📅 August 12 – RiverDogs Game + Dorchester Paws
⚾️ Adoption Night at The Joe = Baseball + rescue pups = best night ever.

📅 August 16 – Dog Day Afternoon at Splash Zone (James Island)
💧 Round 2 of the pup pool party! $15 in advance | 10 AM–3 PM

📅 August 17 – Doggie Days at Magnolia Plantation
🌺 Vendors, music, treats, and garden strolls with your best friend.

📅 August 28 – Yappy Hour at James Island County Park
🍹 Off-leash play, live music & drinks | 5:30–7:30 PM | $2 park entry

🎟️ Most events require leashes & good manners. Bring water, smiles, and your best “who’s a good dog?” voice.

Let’s give a warm welcome to Paddington — the newest member of the Daniel Island Paws and Claws pack! 🐾

Paddington (or “Paddy” for short) is a sweet 4-month-old Maltipoo who’s still warming up to walks with new friends, but we’ll be taking it slow and spending some time with him this weekend. We’re so excited to have this little guy in the crew! 💛
