Thanks to Mars, Adopt A Pet Shelter Plus and PEDIGREE Foundation for sponsoring our dog and cat adoptions during the Mars Global Adoption Weekend!
Mars and its family of pet care brands, and Adopt A Pet Shelter Plus, its comprehensive support program for shelters and adopters, will cover more than $185,000 in cat and dog adoption fees at 23 shelter/rescue locations in 20 U.S. cities. On top of that, PEDIGREE Foundation will cover an additional $25,000 in dog adoption fees across U.S. shelters/rescues to help support dogs.

Meet our Adoptable Pet of the Week: Chester! 🐾

Chester and his beautiful, beach sand-colored coat are impressing everyone at the shelter while waiting to be adopted. Chester is a great walking companion, and he has done well on adventures away from the shelter. He knows a few basic commands, and he aims to please his people.

Our shelter is out of dog kennels and WE NEED DOG ADOPTERS OR FOSTERS to save the day. 🐶 These amazing faces are only a few of the dogs that need good homes. Dog adoption fees have been drastically reduced until 9/30, and we even have some dogs that have been fully sponsored (so they can be adopted for free).
We're open Monday - Friday, 10am - 6pm, and Saturdays 10am - 5pm.

John Henry is just a big ol' hunk of sweetness 🥰...
"John Henry was so fun to get to know on our Dog Day Out! He had such a wonderful demeanor and walked wonderfully. He was interested in meeting other dogs and people, a curious guy. He's super treat motivated but very polite about it. He is also polite on the leash, he walked within a few feet of whoever was holding him almost the entire time. No pulling or fear!
We went for a 2.8 mile hike, nice and slow with lots of breaks for water, treats, and smells. We then grabbed a pup cup on our way back to the shelter. He loves pup cups-and knows exactly what the Starbucks drive through means!"
