Training Challenge Contest!
I hope you are all taking time to work with your dogs. Attention is a foundation skill that will help you with anything you want to train. In this photo Ambrose and I are performing a freestyle routine and you can see how he is connected to me.

Practice attention with your dog. Get someone to take a photo of you and your dog showing focus and connection. It can be stationary or moving attention. Post it in the comments or you can email it to me at [email protected]. The deadline is 5:00 PM Friday, May 8.

There are prizes! If you submit the winning photo you can choose between a great bait bag or a hand braided leash.

Pre Covid-19, when I could still run in person Puppy Kindergarten, I always urged students to practice body handling exercises with their pups. This is something you still can and should do at home on a continuing basis. Gently handle your puppy's feet or ears while giving good treats or letting them lick peanut butter or cream cheese from a spoon or lick mat. Here are some photos of pups wearing T-shirts. Good practice for handling.
