Both of our girls have found their retirement homes. Although this is tough...for us to let these girls go...it is also so exciting to think of how they will be living out their lives!! We are blessed to have folks that are so willing to take these girls into their lives and love them!! Thank you!!
PUPDATE***Stella Ray has found her retirement home...she will also be going to Illinois. She will be joining Stella a 6 year old Blackjack pup from our Lacey/Winston breeding. Stella Ray is also a Winston pup...so the two Stellas are 1/2 sisters. There may be some confusion over the name ..but that will all work out!!
She will get to enjoy living in the house with her family, trips to the lake for swimming and hiking, some hunts at a preserve for quail, pheasant and chuckars. She may get to try her paw at duck hunting, which she has never done. Sounds like the perfect life for our girl!!
PUPDATE*** Gemma has found her retirement home...she will be going to a home in Illinois.. She will be joining a son and two grandsons(this family is very familiar with Blackjack)...she will get to go on daily runs, swim in the river, pheasant hunt, AND ..live in the house🥰.
After much thought and discussion...We have decided we would like to find retirement homes...for two of our older girls. This is not something we like to do...but find it necessary so we can bring new dogs into the kennel...
We will only do this, with just the right families/homes.
We want these girls to live out the rest of their lives in homes where they are loved and cherished...living inside, going for walks, swimming, playing and maybe even hunting on occasion...etc, etc...

When you suggest and volunteer to help with Spring clean up ..what was I thinking 🤔.
Actually we had fun spending 5 hours together trimming trees and cleaning up trees that had fallen in storms...there is still so much to do...three trailer loads to the burn pile...we did at least make a dent in it. 😉

As The Miracles journey at Blackjack Kennels comes to an end...their journeys continue. They have all left to be with their families and their biggest adventures have begun!
This was such a a fun litter, we had some great adventures together...I will miss the little stinkers, but I am so happy with the families the puppies are all so lucky to have. They all have some pretty amazing humans...I love the people we get to meet and connect with. I love the stories they share about their dogs and experiences...they share with us glimpses of some of their most happy times...and the times they look forward to in the days ahead.
We want to thank all of the families for your patience on going home day...We set a tight schedule so everyone has time in the day for their travels home....it can be hectic and I always hope that everyone feels good about the process when it is over.
We are thankful for all of our Blackjack families. To the ones who return we thank you for your dedication to our Kennel...for the new families, we say welcome to the Blackjack family and warn you...Blackjack babies can be addictive...We love you all!!

The Miracles have all left Blackjack Kennels...Momma seemed to be able to sense what was going on and was nervous about it. Now that the rush of people are gone...she has settled in and is doing great!! I have never experienced that with one of my moms...She loves her babies so much!!
All of their little collars in a row...💙💙💙🩷🩷🩷🩷🩷🩷🩷🩷...

Today and tomorrow the Miracles will one by one be leaving Blackjack Kennels, 5 today and 6 tomorrow. They are ready for their next big adventure !! These are their last moments together...

The Miracles are exhausted!! I love when I catch Lacey aka Momma Chops... peeking at the pups...once a momma always a momma!!

After their play in the snow this morning...The Miracles enjoyed carpet time and play time in their kennel. Ms Lacey Jane and Stella Ray are in the kennel next to the pups to keep an eye on them...😃😜.
They have a huge kennel, we will have frequent trips outside for potty breaks...the pups are so adaptable...I just love that...they don't miss a beat...
