Happy Saturday night!
They're friends - Jimmy (Blue & Gold Macaw) and Rita (Green Wing) enjoying some morning sun (for a change)
Lots of folks visit to see the flock, some even share a favorite treat. This one brought bird-friendly frames (after Oatmeal expressed a desire to chew her designer shades). THAT's what friends do.
Confetti (Green Wing Macaw) was boarding with us for a few days. Today was his normal workout day. Who knew macaws were into crossfit?!
They relate to each other. Oatmeal (Umbrella Cockatoo) gets regular visits from Addie and her mom. They wear themselves out, and that takes some doing.
Oatmeal (Umbrella Cockatoo) picked a good day to come to work. Addy came by to visit her baby cockatiel and took a little time to play catch/fetch.

I had a female blue and gold named Mandy that I sold to a lady in northern Va somewhere around 1995 to 2000 or so. I believe she was a police officer around Washington. Jonathon Livingston Cockatiel was the first parrot that was ever purchased for me after I began rescuing birds at the age of 12. I was 18 at the time and posed for a portrait by a local artist with him. This finished piece is a collaboration of our talents featuring the molted feathers of Prof. Harvard, a 10 year old cockatiel that I rescued many years later. Bought a Blue Crowned Conure from you 2 years ago. Gonzo is so smart and quite the talker. We took him to the Bird Vet for a routine check. Gonzo hates Pellets. I buy Supreme Natural with added vitamins mineral. And amino acids. He'll only eat the as a last resort. I also buy him Supreme Veggie Blend Favor and Fruit Blend flavor. He eats free fruit and veggies and nuts. The Vet was emphatic -no artificial colored foods/flavors. Supreme is a good product right? she also said no sunflower seeds. I really trust your opinion. Need some input. By the way, she remarked on how well behaved Gonzo was. She said you van tell he gets lots of one on one tie. She said it was such a pleasure to work with him.
Please help us find our Luigi he is a green with red on his back feathers he has a red beak and a bracelet on his foot. He went missing yesterday at about 1:20 pm from worldgate in Herndon look like he went SW . We have reported him to all local animal control & vets .
