Let's talk PARVO. Parvo is a constant threat to all dogs, it even lives in the ground for up to TEN YEARS leaving your beloved pets always at risk.

What does parvo do to your dog?
Parvo, or canine parvovirus, typically manifests with severe vomiting and diarrhea, often bloody. Other common symptoms include lethargy, loss of appetite, fever, abdominal pain, and dehydration. Puppies are particularly vulnerable and can quickly become severely ill, even fatally so, if not treated promptly.

What does the vaccine do?
Vaccination is like enlisting your pup in a martial arts class specifically designed to beat parvo. This training—I mean, vaccination schedule—starts at six to eight weeks of age and continues until they're about 16 weeks old. Boosters? Absolutely—every two to four weeks. Think of them as advanced training sessions to keep their skills sharp until their immune system has a chance to respond.

Unvaccinated dogs who are more than 16 weeks old need at least two doses of a parvovirus vaccine, two to four weeks apart. Most dogs are then boosted at one year of age and then every one to three years thereafter.

We have a vaccine clinic EVERY Friday from 7am to 2pm. No appointment is needed. The parvovirus vaccine is $38 and we also have vaccine packages for dogs in need of annual boosters or little puppies old enough and large enough for all core vaccines.
