I’m really hoping to not jinx myself with this post lol. But the van is back, it’s been through 3 test drives today (two of which were on the highway) and we are currently in the process of getting everyone rescheduled!

I have myself and two assistants helping me get everyone caught up so if you hear from someone other than me don’t worry they are just some Christmas elves helping to work some magic. You may be getting texts from the business number or my cell so just a heads up to all.

I greatly appreciate everyone’s patience and flexibility. The amount of supportive texts and messages from everyone has been huge and means the world. ❤️

Hey all! Just sharing an update, I did get the van back Monday night and unfortunately almost immediately Tuesday morning had a bearing fail again. We don’t know why, likely an issue with the ones that had been on it. But thankfully this second failure did not cause nearly as much damage as the first. I did just get off the phone with the shop and they have the new part in and will be getting it back installed tomorrow morning. I’m praying it all holds and will be putting some miles on it to be certain everything is moving the way it should. Everyone who has been waiting and hoping to be in before Christmas, I am still hoping to make that happen as long as I get it back tomorrow, but will be asking for some flexibility with times and days as I will be working the weekend and later hours.

Hey all! Just wanted to send out another update. We finally have the new parts on order for the rear axle and they are working on getting it back together. I will tentatively be back up and running on Tuesday. I say tentatively because we’ve already had so many hurdles delaying this I’m scared to start scheduling again but I should know for sure either tomorrow afternoon/Friday morning.

I am so sorry to everyone who has had to wait, believe me I’m just as frustrated as all of you. There are things in motion for the future of FTMPG and hopefully not facing issues like this again. Thank you all so much for your patience and support and you’ll be hearing from me soon!

Hey guys! Just wanted to give everyone an update on the van because I know so many are waiting and hoping to be back up and running before thanksgiving, myself especially.

Unfortunately it’s looking like it won’t be completed until Monday or Tuesday. Not the update I wanted to hear at all.

This week we realized the extent of the damage done by the wheel failure, the entire rear axle and its related components need to be replaced. After lots and lots of discussions and figuring out which shop was doing the repairs (the one already working on it or having it towed to Montgomery County) this was the best option to potentially have any time back before thanksgiving. The parts are not parts that are readily available locally so I’m at the mercy of shipping. I am still hoping to have at least one day before thanksgiving, but we may be looking at afterwards at this point.

I’m so sorry for the inconvenience for everyone and I appreciate everyone’s patience with this. You are seriously the greatest clients I could ever hope for.

Hello everyone! I wanted to give you all an update on the van. Many of you know I’ve been dealing with major issues, which has led to last-minute cancellations and schedule changes.

On October 23rd I started having engine trouble. Diagnostics pointed to minor issues caused by low oil pressure. The oil was checked and changed and the service light cleared, but the noise continued. The following Monday the van went to a local shop for deeper diagnostics. New codes and symptoms showed up, and things weren’t looking clear.

On November 1st the shop dug into the engine and found a major issue, definitely not what I wanted to hear, especially since the engine went out of warranty just 1,500 miles ago. Thankfully they were able to repair it and get everything back together within a few days.

While it was there, I also had my regular inspection done and had new brakes, rotors, and tires installed.

On November 6th I finally got the van back and thought things were resolved. It lasted one day before a new code came up, so it went back in. After more diagnostics I was cleared again to return to work.

I worked one day before leaving for a family event, and on the way back I had one of the scariest moments I’ve had in that van. One of my rear tires seized at highway speeds, causing me to lose control. Thankfully no one was near me and I was able to get safely to the shoulder. After towing it in, we learned the rear driver-side wheel bearing had failed and the tire was barely hanging on. The tow driver said it was shocking it hadn’t separated completely, especially given my speed and how heavy the van is. If my water tanks had even been partly filled, the outcome could have been very different.

Thankfully I’m okay, and the van is mostly okay too. It’s back at the shop having the wheel repaired and everything reinspected. I should be getting it back today unless more damage is found or parts are delayed.

I’m truly sorry to everyone who’s been impacted, especially those affected more than once. I’ll be working extra hours to get everyone back in as soon as possible, and I appreciate your flexibility and understanding.

We had such an amazing time this weekend at Hershey Groom Expo! I had the pleasure again to spend the show working with Davis Manufacturing- Veterinary & Grooming Products and as always, they did not disappoint with some amazing new products. Their new Ceramide shampoo has already made a huge improvement with my own personal dog’s itchy skin. And their new luxury fragrance sprays are to die for, I’ve already had so many compliments on the Aloe & Eve. Get ready to see these and some other amazing new products at your pet’s next appointment.

I also was lucky enough to get a spot in Rescue Round-up on Saturday. Competing is something I was passionate about prior to going mobile, but between covid, life in general, and my beautiful cocker client Starr retiring, I put down the competition shears and took some time off. Rescue is something I was never expecting to get into and was lucky to get one of the very limited spots when it opened. After weeks of slight panic and mentally preparing myself I was given this beautiful Husky Mix, Arya. She was not used to grooming and definitely needed some extra love, but i caught Blakes eye with her groom and I placed 4th among some of the best rescue groomers in the area.

That placement got me a spot in Rescue Invitational on Sunday, which is pretty big in the grooming world. I was honored to share the stage with some of the best groomers in the country, some I even look up to and learn from every day. I was Paired with Pepper, this adorable senior Yorkie who was very overgrown. I stepped out of my element with some Asian Fusion style grooming and again caught the eye of the judge who had nothing but wonderful things to say. I did not place this time though, and after talking with the judge and seeing the other dogs I fully understand why. I had one of the “easiest” coats and dogs to work with and there were other groomers who were able to do much more with much less. I am honored to still stand out to Joey and to the other contestants who had so many wonderful things to say.

I am back to work tomorrow and have some openings next week depending on the areas. I would love to get your pup in to get some extra love with our new goodies.

Hey everybody!! I know there’s been quite a few people trying to get in touch with me. First and foremost, I would like to apologize to everyone who has not heard back from me lately. There have been a lot of changes these last few months, both personally and professionally.

We do have a new phone number, and can now be reached via call or text, text is still preferred. The new number is (267) 356-7165.

Our business hours are changing as well, we will now be open Monday through Friday 8am-4pm, as well as limited availability after 4pm and on weekends.

Lastly, and probably the most exciting news! Some of you may remember Vanessa, from both Dog Town and Spa on State, and you know how well we have always worked together to make sure your pets are getting the best care possible. I am happy to announce she is now working for FTMPG! She will be working in the van and handling a lot of the booking. Don’t be surprised if she’s the one answering the phone or getting back to you, it’s still us!

Anyone who would like to schedule is welcome to reach out via the new number. I do still have the old number while we get everyone phased over. We will be working to get through as many current requests as possible, and you may receive responses from either number.

The update everyone has been waiting to hear…. THE VAN IS BACK!! After 6ish months of back and forth, delays, setbacks etc I’m finally fully functional and back to scheduling as normal.

Words can’t express how excited I am and how thankful I am for all of you!!

I think I’ve gotten caught up on requests and calls so far, so if you are a CURRENT CLIENT looking to schedule your pet please shoot me a text at (215) 720-8095 to get set up.

I will be opening my books for NEW CLIENTS starting August 1st to allow current clients to get back on their schedules. After 8/1 new clients can also send me a text at (215) 720-8095to get started. I will need your full name, address, your pets name, breed, weight, and age. ** please note, at this time I am only scheduling new dogs under 30lbs who are able to maintain a 5, 6 or 8 week schedule**

I have implemented some price changes that went into effect in February, for those of you I have not seen recently those changes will be reflected on your pets next groom.

Hey everyone! I wanted to share a few quick updates.

I can not begin to thank you all for the love and support the last few months with the chaos that has become the van. We are FINALLY making headway with everything and fingers crossed I’m hoping to be scheduling for the van in the next few weeks.

I am also trying something new for communications and availability openings. I will be posting announcements and route availability there as well as keeping everyone up to date on things such as van status, weather delays, etc. Please feel free to join and invite members.
