Baylee was born completely blind.

For her, grooming isn’t just about looking polished for Valentine’s Day. It’s about safety, communication, and trust.

With Baylee, we narrate what’s coming next. We give gentle physical cues before we move. When it’s time for nails, she gets a tap on the shoulder and a quiet, “Baylee, this one.” Every step is intentional.

It took time, years really, of listening to her comfort levels and adjusting our approach. She wasn’t a fan of poodle clean feet, and instead of pushing through, we respected her boundaries.

And something beautiful happened.

When she realized her comfort mattered, she softened. What once felt stressful became predictable. What once brought tension became calm.

At Modern Pet Care, grooming isn’t about forcing a standard look. It’s about meeting each dog where they are physically, emotionally, and behaviorally.

Snow days can be magical… but they can also be a little tough on paws and coats. A few simple winter habits can go a long way in keeping your pup comfortable, clean, and happy.

🐾 Post-walk clean-ups
After time on sidewalks or pavement, gently wipe paws to remove salt and residue. Pay extra attention to feet, legs, tails, and bellies, where buildup loves to hide.

❄️ Tackling snow clumps
Snow can pack between toes and into longer coats. A quick towel-off helps, but a kitchen whisk or slicker brush works even better for stubborn clumps. Be sure to dry⁰ thoroughly so dampness isn’t held against the skin.

🧠 Burn energy indoors
When it’s too cold to linger outside, mental enrichment is your best friend. Food puzzles, snuffle mats, or a stuffed Kong can keep busy minds engaged while everyone stays warm inside.

⛄️ For safety, Modern Pet Care will be closed through the weekend and into Monday while winter weather moves through. We’ll be back once conditions are safe and look forward to getting everyone cleaned up and cozy again soon.

When it’s this cold out, we fully support staying wrapped up in blankets, sipping something warm, and snuggling your dog like it’s your full-time job.

The good news? The van stays nice and toasty, and your pup will enjoy a warm, comforting bath with steady water temperature. No cold splashes, no surprises. Just a calm, cozy grooming experience from start to finish.

It might be freezing outside, but their coat still needs a little love to stay clean, soft, and mat-free this winter. We're here to help keep them looking fresh and feeling snuggle-ready all from the comfort of your driveway.

✂️🐾 Sherman here, reporting for summer style duty!

I may not run Modern Pet Care, but I am the face of it and I take that job very seriously. So before we packed our bags for vacation (yes, I’m absolutely here, Mom picked the campsite just for me), I got the full works.

🛁 A Modern Signature groom to keep me plush and polished, plus a special Elevation Option: A pet-safe, temporary color-depositing shampoo for this custom lavender glow to match my sparkling personality.

To top it off? My summer tie, one of the complimentary seasonal finishes we offer, hand-picked and lightly scented so I’m photo-ready and fresh-smelling all week long. ✨💼

📣 Modern Pet Care is closed while we enjoy a little summer break, but don’t worry, Mom’s still sneaking peeks at messages when she “rests.” We’ll be back Monday, refreshed and ready to pamper your pup!

It feels only right that our very first post as Modern Pet Care features a charity groom for a very special girl still searching for a home. We are incredibly blessed to be in the position to donate a spa day to Fendi as she continues her journey to find a forever home.

Fendi is a 5-year-old Pit Bull mix with a playful spirit, a huge heart, and an undeniable love for cuddles. She's crate- and potty-trained, adores tug-of-war, and was an absolute angel during her groom.

Originally found at Philly ACCT, Fendi was rescued just in time by Mission Rescue Alliance. She's now thriving at On Command Canine in Telford, where she's mastering obedience, building confidence, and learning to shine.

Her only request? Fendi wants to be your one and only - no other pets, please. She's not leash-reactive; she simply values her personal space.

Despite her sweet nature and incredible progress, Fendi is still waiting. Her foster plans fell through, and her window of opportunity is growing smaller. She doesn't just need a place to land, she deserves a home.
