Horses carry us on their backs every day. The least we can do is take care of theirs.

Sully is a lesson horse who gives so much of himself. With so many different riders relying on him, it’s no surprise that his back can become sore and overworked.

It meant a lot to me to have the opportunity to work with him. Seeing him soften, release his tension, and finish with a big, satisfying stretch was incredibly rewarding. Moments like these remind me why I love equine bodywork. Every horse deserves to feel comfortable in the job they do for us, especially those who spend their days teaching and caring for others.

Out here putting my skills to the test and getting the opportunity to work on this sweet boy, “Army Cadet”. Grateful for every horse that teaches me something new and every chance to keep growing my hands, knowledge, and confidence as a bodyworker. Today is the last day of the in-person portion of the Freely Forward Bodywork clinic, and I’m leaving with so much more than new techniques and knowledge. I gained an incredible amount of confidence in my hands, my understanding of the horse’s body, and my ability to truly help horses feel and move better.

This experience deepened my understanding of equine anatomy, biomechanics, fascia, and movement, but it also gave me valuable business knowledge and insight into building a career doing this work. One of the greatest parts of this journey was making connections with such incredible horsewomen who share the same passion for helping horses.

I’m beyond grateful for everything I’ve learned through this journey with Freely Forward Bodywork and Maija Luttinger. Excited for what’s ahead and for all the horses I’ll continue learning from along the way.

I’m currently a student of Maija Luttinger, creator of Freely Forward Bodywork. I’m already certified as a CEMT, but for a long time I lacked the courage and confidence to truly put myself out there as a bodyworker.

This certification program has given me a much deeper understanding of equine anatomy, physiology, and biomechanics, while also helping me grow in confidence and trust my abilities. It has expanded the way I look at the horse’s body as a whole and strengthened my passion for helping horses move, feel, and perform better through bodywork.

As part of completing my certification in Equine Myofascial Release through Freely Forward Body Work with Maijia Luttinger, I’m currently looking for a few horses to work with for hands-on practice hours.

Sessions will focus on massage therapy and myofascial release techniques designed to support relaxation, mobility, comfort, and overall wellness. This is a great opportunity for horses who may benefit from bodywork due to stiffness, tension, workload, or general maintenance.

I have extensive horse experience and am especially passionate about helping the hardworking lesson horses who give so much of themselves every day.

I AM here and I AM building! I AM saying YES to things that I know will be challenging, hard and scary. I’m honest about my feelings and my fears and amazed at how the universe sends the perfect people, circumstances, messages, answers and even the right questions to ask in every moment. I feel tired and overwhelmed at times but I will continue to show up for those that gave me chances and have faith in me. Yesterday was an amazing day, full of positivity, power and relentless encouragement. Today I stayed full of positivity and encouragement for the people that count on and trust me. I’m forever grateful for all of the paths that shut down on me that I thought for sure were mine. This path in front of me is winding all over the place and I can’t see which way it goes but I have faith that I will always take the right steps!
