Find Merry a Home

Today’s her day!
A happy, yet also sad, day for all of us. Merry will be going home with her new family and a part of our family, that has been a daily reminder of our dad, will be leaving us.
Peace comes from knowing that Merry will now not only continue to be loved by our family and friends but also by her new family and their friends.
She will get to explore parts of the area she may never have otherwise seen and become a late-in-life city dog. She gets a new dog sister, two girl sisters and a mom who hoped from the start that Merry would be joining them on their future adventures.
Here’s to a dog who brought joy to my mom and dad for over 10 years. May Merry continue to do the same for Hope and her girls for as long as this pup continues to walk this earth. 🐾

ADOPTION DAY!
Paperwork done.
Dental cleaning complete.
First part of the move for my mom tomorrow.
Glamour shots of Merry and my mom on Saturday. ..and anxiously awaiting the announcement of the resident move-in day so that Merry can pack her bags and be off on new adventures!

Here is to the power of Facebook, friends far and wide who liked and shared the page, the kindness and knowledge of an experienced foster named Leslie - who reached out to inform and educate me about rescues, and Lucky Dawg Animal Rescue who shared her information so it could reach her new family. ❤️ Grateful to all.

Merry and I had quite a morning...meeting and greeting new friends at the vet and the pet store.
Found out three things:
#1 Merry now weighs 96.6lbs - now if all of our play sessions worked for me like that I’d have a new exercise plan for myself...playing fetch with her sure beats the gym. 🐾
#2 Merry is so adorable she can make a professional electrician on the job at a retail location abandon his work to meet her and show us pictures of his Black Lab who looks just like her. ⚡️
#3 Merry loves the pet store and enjoyed meeting new friends including the kitties in the adoption area. Can’t wait to go back. I think we have found our new hangout.❤️
