Kathy & David of K-9’s by Kathy Dog Grooming & Training had a Great time at the Palmetto to Pines Dog Show Cluster this past weekend.
Colin won Winners Dog two of the three days he was entered to complete his AKC Championship, and Elizabeth won an Owner Handled Herding Group IV!

Hosted by Moore County Kennel Club and Myrtle Beach Kennel Club, these are the areas Local AKC Dog Shows! In addition to Conformation, there was Junior Showmanship, PeeWees (for ages 5-7) and Rally classes!

If you are interested in learning about Purebred dogs, the American Kennel Club, training your dogs for Rally, or Obedience, or how to participate in Junior Showmanship or conformation you can send Kathy a message!

I am home from my own trip to New York City and Westminster Kennel Club, and while we didn’t win Best in Show, we are very proud of our own dog, Daphne, who won an Award of Merit there!

👑 Meet Simba: A Tiny King With a Big, Complicated Heart 🐾✨

Simba is a very special poodle boy with striking two-toned eyes and a whole lot of depth packed into his compact little body. He’s on a slow, intentional journey of learning that life can be more than what it once was - and that the world can actually be a beautiful place. 💛

This dynamite little athlete is all muscle, all opinions, and all heart. Strong, powerful, and endlessly expressive, Simba is the kind of dog who doesn’t give his heart away lightly… but when he does, it’s everything.

Simba’s perfect match?
👩‍🦰 Likely a single woman
🏡 A fenced yard (non-negotiable)
🐕 At least one other playful dog, preferably a larger one (small is okay if sturdy and game to keep up!)

To his foster mom, Simba is a Velcro dog - her shadow, her prince, her best friend. To everyone else? Well… he’s selective. Some days he’s affectionate and charming, other days he’s guarding his space and making his feelings very clear. Simba is quirky, layered, and unapologetically himself.

He adores other dogs, especially big ones, and thrives with canine companionship. Humans? He’s looking for his person. The right one. The one he’ll choose.

Simba isn’t for everyone—but for the right person, he’ll be unforgettable. 👑🐩
