We’ll that’s a wrap! The last mount from High Five Taxidermy has left the building. A big thank you to all my customers, mentors, vendors, and friends I’ve made along the way! Special thanks goes out especially to my family for supporting my obsession and for covering for me when I wasn’t there. I love you. Congratulations Bruce Johnson for sticking with me to the bitter end with a heck of an elk. Hopefully we’ll all meet again someday.

My first and last exotic mount. Last only because I’m retiring, but it was awesome to mount. The short horn remained at the customer’s request. Would have liked to mold and cast a replacement for it. A really nice Oryx memory mount for Aaron Reinsch.

Probably the largest and oldest mule deer I’ve had the pleasure of mounting. Originally taken/mounted in 1955 and redone in 2021. It won the Nebraska Deer Expo category competition for Historical Non-Typical Mule Deer with a gross score of 195 1/8” and net score of 191 1/8”. Thanks to Mark Christensen for allowing me to honor your father’s memory.
