🐾 Meet Stephanie 🐾

We’re excited to be introducing Stephanie to BigPaw! With 4 years of experience grooming dogs and 5 years grooming cats, Stephanie brings lots of knowledge, experience, and passion to the art of grooming. She will be your go to groomer in our mobile van. Here are some other things to get to know her a little better:

Her favorite breeds to groom are Standard Poodles and Maine C**n cats. She is pet CPR certified and AKC Safe Certified, along with having obtained several additional certifications in pet skin and coat care, structure, and anatomy.

She is also currently working toward earning her Feline Master Groomer certification! 🐈🐈‍⬛

One thing that really stands out is her dedication to continuing education. She believes there is always something new to learn and is constantly looking for opportunities to expand her knowledge and improve her skills.

We’re excited to have her as part of the BigPaw family with her kindness, patience and skills 💜

⚕️Health Update ⚕️

Hey everyone, I know I haven’t given many new updates since my last one, other than the ones I have given in person. I have made lots of improvements over the last several months with the assistance of chiropractic, acupuncture and medical massage. Unfortunately, grooming continues to be incredibly difficult without assistance. On top of that, all the times of overcompensating for my injured arm is now taking a toll on other parts of my body, and starting to affect my day to day life.

That being said, I (Mel) have decided to step back from grooming indefinitely. I need to take time to truly heal, which means not doing the main thing that aggravates my arm- grooming. I will be focusing on the management side of things, as well as the training aspect of our new facility.

What does this look like for all mobile groom dogs on my schedule? Scheduling won’t change, as there will be a groomer stepping into the position as a mobile groomer. There will be a transitional period over the next month or so that will take place to ease the changes. There will also be an introductory post coming out next week to provide more information about your new groomer.

Thank you to everyone for being understanding through these difficult times, and for being flexible with me over the last several months. This is not an easy decision to make, and while I will still be around, I will miss seeing your fur kiddos all the time. 💜
