What a day… (still one little one available)

Another wild fire start s3/4 of a mile from home, 3rd one in a month. 🔥 The kids are finally back from their soccer tournament 200 miles away, everyone is home, and things are settling down for the night.

For the first time in what feels like forever, it’s actually under 100 degrees. The evening is cooling off and everyone is getting some rest.

Well… everyone except the Beefcake Bullies puppies. 😂 They’re outside roughhousing, wrestling, and taking full advantage of the cooler weather.

Nice to have everyone home, some cooler air, and watch the puppies just be puppies. ❤️🐶

The first night in two weeks without smoke, flames and fire.

Today we watched the sunrise and the sunset for the first time in 14 days. Tonight, the stars are back.

The last two weeks with the Evans Creek Fire have been something we’ll never forget—from watching the first helicopter land in our field to wondering at any moment if our home would still be standing.

Experiences like this have a way of putting life into perspective. They remind you what truly matters, what can’t be replaced, and what has real value.

Tonight, we’re grateful. The sky is clear, home is still here, the dogs are safe, and all is well.
