Cody, the cutest Aussie pup ever, is wrapping up his first week of training with us! 🐾

Cody is enrolled in our two-week Board & Train program, which also includes six follow-up lessons with his owners to ensure long-term success at home.

During his first week, we’ve been working on all the foundational obedience skills, including:
✔ Sit
✔ Down
✔ Place
✔ Proper leash walking
✔ Reliable commands around real-life distractions
✔ Leave It
✔ Puppy nipping and biting prevention
✔ Building a calmer, more focused mindset

Cody has been doing an amazing job, and we couldn’t be happier with his progress so far. We can’t wait to show his owners everything he’s learned!

Starting training at a young age helps prevent unwanted habits before they become ingrained and gives dogs the tools they need to grow into well-mannered, confident companions.

Lasso is officially completing his final tasks in public access training! 🎉🐾

Lasso completed our 4-week Board & Train program, which also includes six follow-up lessons with his owner to ensure continued success and confidence after going home.

When Lasso first came to us, he was extremely high-energy — which is very common and expected for his breed. Our goal was not to take away his personality, but to help him learn how to stay calm, focused, and under control in different environments. He has absolutely mastered those skills!

Today, we took a trip to Tractor Supply where we worked on sit, down, loose leash walking, and maintaining obedience commands around distractions inside the store. After that, we headed to the park to continue building confidence by introducing new surfaces, heights, and real-world distractions. Lasso did an amazing job coexisting calmly around people fishing, children running around, and other everyday activity.

We are incredibly proud of the progress this boy has made and cannot wait for his owner to experience the freedom and enjoyment of being able to confidently take him more places.

Training is not just about obedience — it’s about creating freedom, confidence, structure, and a more enjoyable life for both the dog and the owner. Great job, Lasso! 👏🐶

We had an awesome time working on public access training with several of our dogs enrolled in our 4-week Board & Train program, along with some of our Service Dog pups in training.

These dogs worked hard on learning how to confidently coexist in new environments while staying focused around distractions, people, and other dogs. We practiced everything from loose leash walking right beside us, reliable sit and down commands, to holding a down stay even after dropping the leash.

The best part? These pups absolutely crushed it and received so many wonderful compliments from people around us. We are incredibly proud of the progress they’ve made in such a short amount of time.

A well-trained dog opens the door to so much more freedom and enjoyment together. Whether it’s going out in public, traveling, relaxing at outdoor patios, or simply having better control and communication, training truly changes your relationship with your dog.

We’re excited to welcome all of our new Board & Train students! 🐾

These pups arrived on Saturday and are already crushing it—holding solid down-stays from a distance, even outside with distractions. That’s a huge win this early on!

Everyone is settling in nicely, building confidence, and getting into a structured routine. We’re looking forward to showing their owners just how much progress they make during their stay.

Our service dogs in training have officially started working on their public access skills 🐾

These pups are already solid in their obedience and task work, so now it’s all about building confidence and reliability in real-world environments. From day one, we’ve raised and trained them with purpose, and it’s incredible to see how much they’ve grown and matured along the way.

Two of these amazing dogs will be donated to K9s on the Frontline, where they’ll be paired with veterans in need of a service dog. Being part of that journey is something we take a lot of pride in.

We do still have one pup available who will be ready this fall. Each of these dogs has been trained to assist with PTSD alerts, anxiety support, and deep pressure therapy when it’s needed most.

We couldn’t be more proud of how far they’ve come—and we’re excited for what’s ahead 💙

Cookie has been putting in the work during our Board & Train program, alongside Rose, one of our Service Dogs in training, as they both sharpen their public access skills.

When Cookie first came to us, she struggled with significant anxiety and needed a lot of confidence building. Watching her transformation has been incredible. She is now able to perform all of her commands calmly, confidently, and reliably in public settings—without any issues.

We are beyond proud of the progress she’s made and the confidence she’s gained. We can’t wait to show her owner just how far she’s come and everything she’s learned. 🐾

Meet Rose 🌹

Hi everyone! My name is Rose, and I’m a Golden Retriever currently accepting applications to become someone’s future Service Dog.

I’m being trained in pressure therapy and mobility assistance, and I take my job very seriously—but I’m also a super sweet, loving girl who enjoys making people smile.

I still have a few more months of training ahead of me, but I’ll be ready to go to my forever partner this fall. If you or someone you know could benefit from a Service Dog trained in the tasks I’ve learned, I may be the perfect match for you!

We had an awesome group class last night! Every owner was able to drop the leash and walk away from their dog—huge progress and such a great moment to see.

We’re incredibly proud of how far these dogs (and their owners) have come since completing their board & train program. Each program at Got Your Six Dog Training includes six follow-up classes with you and your dog, and this is exactly why—that continued work makes all the difference.

The real key to success isn’t just training the dog, it’s training the owner too. And it definitely shows! These teams have been putting in the work at home, and it’s paying off in a big way. 👏🐾

Meet Fore, one of our service pups in training, taking on a brand new challenge—learning to walk in dog booties! 🐾👟

Why the shoes? As service dogs, these pups go everywhere with their handlers. During the summer months, hot concrete and pavement can quickly become dangerous for their paws. By introducing booties early, we make sure they’re comfortable, confident, and protected no matter where life takes them.

For his very first day wearing shoes, Fore is doing an awesome job! We’re proud of this little guy and excited to watch his confidence grow with each step. 💪🐶
