Centerton Animal Services works to help stray dogs, inside the city limits of Centerton Arkansas. After providing a safe place for them to shelter, we strive to reconnect them with their owners. If no owner can be found after 7 business days, the dog will become City property. Once the dog belongs to Centerton Animal Services, we will switch gears from trying to find the dog's original owner, to making all efforts to place the dog with a loving new family.

UPDATE: We are closing the shelter until Friday! This will allow time for all dogs to finish their antibiotics and be ready for meet and greets on Friday and then Centerton Day on Saturday.

If you see a dog you are interested in (because of course we will still be sharing our sweet babies with you), please call or message us to schedule a meet and greet.

WE ARE CLOSED TODAY

On Thursday, a couple of our dogs were starting to cough a little bit. Thanks to the wonderful attention from our kennel techs and our great vet, we were able to quickly get our dogs started on medication. With the risk of being contagious, we will be closed today. We are normally closed on Sundays and Mondays, so this will give an extended amount of time for our pups to get to feeling better. We are so thankful for our community and your understanding!

🎉🐾 It’s our manager’s birthday month and she’s officially hitting the big 3-1! 🎂

Now… some people want cake, balloons, or maybe even a trip to the beach for their birthday. But not our manager—nope! Her one wish is to see 31 dogs adopted this month. 🐶🐶🐶

That’s right, one pup for every candle on her cake (and trust us, that’s a LOT of candles 🔥😂).

Partner – our shelter’s very own goofball and official chest-bump champion! 🐾 This 3-year-old Labrador Retriever has perfected his own unique way of saying hello… instead of the usual doggy jump, Partner greets you with a full-on chest bump. Yep, you read that right – it’s like he thinks he’s your college buddy hyping you up before a big game. 😂

Walking with him is its own comedy show too. He’ll do this little trot, spin around, and then zoom right back in for another chest bump. He’s spunky, silly, and absolutely convinced he’s invented a brand-new dog move.

Partner may not quite know how to “dog” like the others, but that just makes him all the more lovable. 💛 If you’re looking for a funny, playful, one-of-a-kind best friend, Partner’s ready to be your teammate for life!

Everett 💙
This handsome 10-month-old Basenji is such a loving boy who just needs the right home to shine! Everett’s story is a tough one — he was basically left on his own and never really taught how to be a dog. Because of that, he’s a little on the hyper side and doesn’t quite know how to settle down yet.

But here’s the best part: Everett is a great dog at heart. He’s sweet, affectionate, and wants to give his love — he just needs someone patient and committed to help him learn the ropes. With consistency, training, and understanding, he’ll blossom into the wonderful companion we know he can be.

Here’s your update—he’s doing SO good! His adopter says he’s a total momma’s boy 💕 and loves nothing more than car rides with mom, park adventures with his brother, and showing off his skills with his huge tug-of-war toy.
