Centerton Animal Services We provide dog-sheltering, adoptions, and animal control for the city of Centerton, AR. We work hard to find good homes for good dogs.

Centerton Animal Services works to help stray dogs, inside the city limits of Centerton Arkansas. After providing a safe place for them to shelter, we strive to reconnect them with their owners. If no owner can be found after 7 business days, the dog will become City property. Once the dog belongs to Centerton Animal Services, we will switch gears from trying to find the dog's original owner, to making all efforts to place the dog with a loving new family.

🩵It’s that time again!! Pupdate Sunday: Featuring JADE🩵

As Jade approaches her two-year adoption anniversary, her family shared this sweet update with us:

"She is coming up on two years with us in August and has settled in so well. The privilege we feel in providing her a safe and happy home is immense.

Jade is obsessed with:
🎾 Her ball! The orange Chuck-It balls, to be exact
🏊 Swimming
❤️ Snuggling and physical contact
🐕 Play dates with her best friend, Oli
💨 Sprinting around the yard like a maniac

Jade has breathed so much life into our old dog, Summit. Just before we decided to foster Jade, Summit's health was not doing well and we expected to lose him within weeks to months. He is now still going strong at 15 years old, and we attribute that entirely to his companion. They enjoy many hikes and walks together, as well as endless roughhousing in our yard."

We want to thank Jade's family for sharing this wonderful update with us! Stories like these remind us why we do what we do. It brings us so much joy to see Jade living her best life and surrounded by so much love. ❤️

🐾 Still Waiting Wednesday: Ranger 🐾

Ranger is still waiting with a wagging tail and plenty of hope that his forever family will come for him soon. Ranger is a Staffordshire Terrier mix, about 7 years old, and weighs 65 lbs. Day after day, he watches people walk by, hoping one of them might finally be his person. He’s a sweet boy who will gladly sit and give you his paw for a treat, and he’s wonderful on walks. All Ranger wants is someone to love him as much as he’ll love them.

Are you passionate about animal welfare and community service? This leadership position is responsible for overseeing daily shelter operations, staff supervision, animal care programs, adoptions, public outreach, and ensuring compliance with local and state regulations.

Key responsibilities include:
• Managing shelter operations and animal care
• Supervising staff, volunteers, and foster programs
• Coordinating veterinary care and adoption efforts
• Managing budgets, records, and public inquiries
• Supporting community outreach and education initiatives

Preferred qualifications include management experience, strong communication and organizational skills, compassion for animals, and the ability to work in high-stress situations professionally.

We’re ecstatic to share some great news from the shelter — our brand new van has arrived!!! 🐾

We want to give a heartfelt thank you to our city leaders and the citizens who continue to support our shelter. Your support and investment in our mission made this possible, and it will directly impact the lives of countless animals in our care. We are incredibly grateful to be part of a community that believes in giving these animals the care and second chances they deserve.

This vehicle will make a huge difference in the care we provide for the animals in our community. From transporting pets to vet appointments and rescue transfers to attending adoption events, this van will help us safely and efficiently serve the animals who rely on us every day.

Baby is an approximately 2-year-old 30lb Heeler mix. She is very sweet and deeply devoted to her person — a true velcro dog who loves staying close and by your side. She can also be a bit protective of her person, so continued training and socialization will be very beneficial for her.
