Our exclusive Mastery Program was created for our highest-level groomers working toward one of the industry’s most respected achievements: National Certified Master Groomer certification. 🏆

With our own Director of Education Andrew, advanced hands-on training, and opportunities to learn from industry leaders—including world-renowned groomer, AKC judge, competitor and industry legend Blake Hernandez as a guest instructor—we’ve created an environment where education and growth never stop.

Semester One challenged our students, strengthened their skills and raised the bar.

Now they’re stepping into SEMESTER TWO. 🔥✂️

Little senior West Highland White Terrier Olive, left the salon looking fresh, comfortable, and full of confidence.

Tricia isn’t just one of our talented Level 3 stylists—she’s also our Salon Manager. Her passion for animals shines through in everything she does. Whether she’s pampering a beloved senior pet, mentoring our team, or leading by example, she sets the standard for excellence, compassion, and professionalism every single day.

✈️🐾 The Groomer’s Destination in Colorado! ACA! 🏔️💖

The traveling groomer movement is growing faster than ever! Groomers from all over the country—and even internationally—are packing up their equipment, hitting the road, and exploring new salons, new techniques, and new communities.

We’re incredibly proud to say that A Clip Above Pet Styling has become one of the most sought-after destinations for traveling groomers in Colorado. What started as a dream of building a salon centered around education, teamwork, and excellence has grown into a place groomers intentionally travel thousands of miles to experience.

This week, we had the pleasure of welcoming Jess into our salon family! During her stay, she groomed some of our amazing clients, built relationships with their beloved pets, learned alongside our talented team, and made friendships that will last a lifetime.

Today, we celebrated her last day the only way we know how—with cake, hugs, and lots of laughter. While we’re sad to see her continue her journey, we know this won’t be the last time our paths cross.

To every traveling groomer looking for your next adventure, know that A Clip Above isn’t just another salon stop—it’s an experience. It’s a place where education, inspiration, collaboration, and family come together. Whether you’re coming from another state or another country, our doors are always open.

A Huge Milestone for Our Mastery Class #1!

Education is at the heart of everything we do at A Clip Above Pet Styling, and we’re so proud to celebrate the completion of Semester One of our Mastery Class!

✨ All 8 of our students passed their written examination!
📝 Next up: Practical Testing on August 15 as they continue their journey toward becoming National Certified Master Groomers.

Now it’s time for Semester Two… TERRIERS! 🐾

Led by our Director of Education, Andrew, with an introduction from the incredible Blake Hernandez, our students will dive into:
• Terrier history & purpose
• Breed anatomy & structure
• Show grooming standards
• Hand stripping techniques
• Clipper trims & breed-specific styling
• And so much more!

Louie spent the day with Emilia yesterday! 🐾

This handsome Australian Shepherd came in for a full de-shedding treatment and feather trim, and Emilia did an exceptional job. From meticulous coat removal to precise finishing work, every detail was carefully tailored to Louie’s coat type.

He went home looking fresh, feeling comfortable, and with a healthy, beautifully maintained coat.

With over 10 years of professional grooming experience, Amanda brings exceptional skill, gentle compassion, and an eye for detail to every appointment. We’re thrilled to welcome her to the A Clip Above family and know our clients will love the beautiful care she provides.

🎉🐾 Employee of the Month — TJ! 🐾🎉

A huge shoutout to TJ for being voted our Employee of the Month! 💙

So many of the comments about TJ said the same thing—he is always willing to jump in and help no matter what’s going on. Whether it’s helping with checks, bath dogs, nail trims, handling a tough dog, helping someone who’s behind, or just checking in on the team throughout the day, TJ is always there without hesitation.

He brings such a positive, encouraging energy to the salon and is the kind of person everyone knows they can count on. On top of being a great groomer, he takes time to help teammates, support new staff, educate clients, and make sure the pups go home looking and feeling their best. It’s clear from everyone’s comments how appreciated and respected he is by the whole team.
