Today marks a milestone that fills my heart in a way I can hardly put into words. Fifteen years ago, I opened A Clip Above with a simple dream: to create the kind of grooming salon I desperately wished existed when I was a young groomer searching for direction, support, and a real chance to grow.
I started this salon because I once felt unheard. I felt like there was no path forward, no opportunity for continued education, no one investing in my future or my happiness. And I promised myself that if I ever had the chance, I would build a place where groomers felt valued, supported, and inspired. A place where management genuinely cares, not just about the work being done, but about the people doing it.
Over the last 15 years, A Clip Above has grown into exactly that.
A foundation of growth, encouragement, education, and true support.
A workplace where groomers can learn, thrive, stay long-term, and rediscover the joy that brought them into this profession in the first place.
A team of incredible talent, truly some of the best groomers in the state & country who share knowledge, uplift one another, and always push for excellence.
And above all, a place where the animals always come first.

Every pet who walks through our doors is treated like family and indulged in a spa experience designed with their comfort, safety, and happiness at the forefront. Our artistry is important, but our compassion is everything. Love and kindness for the animals, this is where our work begins, and where it always ends.
