Last night our therapy horse Sampson started colicing he was treated throughout the night this morning he sadly crossed the Rainbow 🌈 bridg. Those of you who were lucky enough to know or had done therapy or riding lessons with Sampson knew just how special he was. He was my daughter Abbi's horse he came to us in bad shape he had major teeth issues so he had special soup for meals as he was a choker. He was so loved and will be impossible to replace.

Hope this posts been trying for days since I got my new cell.

We want to wish you alla very Merry Christmas. It's been a long month since my husband had heart attacks he is healing thank the Lord. We appreciate all the support for the horses. I hope you all have a safe and blessed Christmas.

Today one of our horses who was adopted by the most wonderful family for last several years crossed the Rainbow 🌈 Bridge "Faith" was the most loving sweet mare and we are so thankful for Lisa and her sweet family they gave her the best forever home!! Run free sweet Faith...

The Best Horses in Heaven, They Have No Tail

The best horses in Heaven
they have no tail.
This is a rule they all know
without fail.
For when a new horse arrives
with a short cut bob,
they all know that this horse
did a very good job.

His owner could not bear
to part with her friend
so she saved his tail,
wrapped in ribbons
and in braids,
to hold with his memory
in a very loving way.

To enter Heaven
without a tail
is an honor,
a message,
that without fail
announces to everyone,
far and wide
that this horse
was more than a wonderful ride.

But
this horse was loved and cherished by one
and when his time serving on this Earth was done
he left behind
a broken heart
and a soul
from which he never will part.

We went got some hay today so thankful for that!! We are hoping to get few more loads if anyone wants to help out we need about 25 round bales a month and then 20 small bales. With winter coming we really need to get enough on hand. If you would like to help out with $50 towards a bale or any amount I'd be most grateful. With my husband off work for bit because of his heart attacks makes thing bit tighter than usual. If you need tax receipt just let me know. I appreciate you all very much so do the horses.

Until further notice we are pausing any intakes for the safety of our horses.

🚨 𝐄𝐇𝐕 𝐔𝐩𝐝𝐚𝐭𝐞 – 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐲 𝐈𝐧𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐦𝐞𝐝 🚨

Horses in Oklahoma have tested positive for Equine Herpesvirus (EHV), a highly contagious viral disease. It spreads easily through nasal discharge, shared equipment, trailers, stalls, and even human contact. Horses can carry the virus before showing symptoms, so strict quarantine is essential.

𝐖𝐚𝐭𝐜𝐡 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐬𝐢𝐠𝐧𝐬:
🐴 Respiratory: cough, clear nasal discharge, fever
🐴 Neurologic (EHM): hind-limb weakness, incoordination, urine dribbling, tail weakness, sudden inability to stand
🐴 Reproductive: late-term abortion in mares

𝐈𝐟 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐡𝐨𝐫𝐬𝐞 𝐬𝐡𝐨𝐰𝐬 𝐬𝐢𝐠𝐧𝐬:
✅ Call your vet immediately
✅ Quarantine symptomatic or exposed horses
✅ Monitor all horses’ temps twice daily (Normal = 99–101.5°F)
✅ Follow strict biosecurity measures

🩺 Stay vigilant, protect your herd, and work closely with your veterinarian.

We are working on building 4 additional feeding pens. I want to thank Julie, Chris, Alyssa, Kane, Abbi for helping and my hubby ❤️ Kody for supervising 😊 It's super important for each horse to have their own area to eat as each horse has different supplements they require. Running a rescue that also has multiple sanctuary and special needs horses it's so important to have a safe place for them.
