Melsh Precious Pets has a new family member! Tom and I picked her up today. She comes to us from Wisconsin. Another wire girl! Melsh's Precious Zoey-Beth is 6 months old.

Weston (Ellie-May/Murphy) is 10 weeks old today. He weighed in at 4 pounds 3 ozs. He gets to go home next week. He joins 1/2 brother Winston (Madisyn/Murphy) in East Dubuque Illinois. The Culbertson family is excited to bring him home!

Brinley/Winston pups are 1 week old today. We will not be contacting the waiting list till these pups are approximately 5 weeks old and we have their Embark genetic test results back. At weigh in today:

Carmella's new life-jacket arrived today ..... she is not a fan but it fits her much better. I like the big handle .....if she goes overboard, I can lift her back in easy. She is only 7.3 pounds so the xs size is a WAY better fit for her.

Happy Birthday Daisy! This is an isabella/Murphy pup. She was raised as a singleton because we lost her littermate at birth. Her Mommy Isabella was so attached to this little pup....she was cuddled constantly! Happy 1 st Birthday!!

First time out catfishing for the year. Tom and I, only took 1 of the furbabies out with us last night for our quick fishing outing. Carmella was not so sure about the life-jacket. Carmella is our wire-hair dachshund. Mommy is a meanie and made her wear it. Tom caught a nice 5 pound channel cat ...it was released to get a little bigger.

Henry got to go home yesterday!!! Soooooo happy that he is back with his mommy and daddy! Deb said he put in a good night and is happy to be home! Thank you everyone for all your prayers and positive thoughts!

Blu & Bray's new family picked them up yesterday and they traveled to their new home in LaCrosse Wisconsin. These 16 month old littermate sisters are a bonded pair. (Lucy/Tucker pups) Their family from North Carolina returned the girls to us on May 29th. Our contract that puppy parents sign at pick up requires that pups/dogs be returned to us if the family is no longer able to keep them. These girls were VERY loved and well cared for by their first family. They were very loved, spoiled and had all their vet visits up to date. Sometimes circumstances and family health can happen when it is just not expected. We welcome our pups/dogs back and work to find the perfect family for them. Their first family was broken hearted to have to part with them. This Grandma got really close to these girls in the almost 2 weeks we had them back. I got choked up when I had to say goodbye. They were use to sleeping in bed with their parents, so Tom and I had a couple snuggle buddies. They were not so sure about sharing the bed with any of our other dogs....lol. Bray decided my pillow, next to my head was a "safe place" if other strange dogs were near by. I am sharing some of the pictures I took of the girls.
The girls were seen by our vet on May 31st and she reviewed their pet records from the Vet in North Carolina. Very healthy girls! Their new family is experienced dachshund people. Their last dachshunds had passed away due to old age. Chuck is a retired pastor, who's last service was this past Sunday. April and Chuck are going to lavish the girls with lots of attention. So happy ......this was a perfect fit for the girls!!

Good news!!!! If Henry continues to do well he gets to come home today!! Henry's mom told me she kept the AKC pet insurance going on him and she is a huge advocate of it. In this situation she said it made a HUGE difference! When pups leave here they have 30 days of insurance that is active on them. Emails are sent out to keep the insurance going after the 30 days. Henry's mom Deb, says it is well worth it to keep it going!

Update: Henry's mom updated me and I wanted to pass this along. He had surgery, the vet found a liver shunt. Sometimes after birth the vein that normally closes at birth doesn't. Without surgery prognosis was only a 2-5 year lifespan. His prognosis is now for a full recovery. He is out of surgery and doing well. Henry was the tiny little one of the litter ....no idea why this occurred with him. This was the first time one of our pups had this happen and i hope it is the last! Poor sweet Henry will get to see his mommy tonight! Continued prayers that he heals up fast so he can go home!

I am asking for prayers for Henry. An Ellie-May/ Winston pup. He is not feeling well and his mommy has him at the vet. He has a urine blockage. He is in good hands with his vet. Great job, Deb, getting him into the vet quickly!

Last week little Syrup scard his mommy, daddy and us....he wasn't feeling well. X-rays showed nothing foreign ...then the vet was able to get him to pass this huge amount of poop that was mixed with hair. Sorry for the graphic picture ...but I was in shock ...how his little body had all this inside. He is doing much better!! This sweet Gabby/Winston pup has a mommy that got him right to the vet when she saw he was sick. Great job Aly!! These little stinkers can eat so much stuff they shouldn't and fast. So thankful that Syrup is going to be fine!

Trying to add photos to the forever homes album....they are a little blurry. Tried twice!
Puppies went to their forever homes Thursday the 2nd and Friday the 3rd. Remi, a Brinley/Winston pup came to see Grandma all the way from Indiana. She has a new brother "Colt". Congratulations families .....these two litters are gorgeous 😍 !!

Happy Birthday Legend ..I hope you get lots of Birthday treats and cuddles. We got the sad news that Scarlett tragically passed away due to an animal attack. Our hearts are broken and we know her family misses her terribly. Hug your babies a little longer today. Tragedy can happen so fast.

Madisyn/Murphy's puppies turned 6 weeks old on Thursday. All these pups have found their forever homes. The last pup to find his home was puppy #4. His family is still deciding on his name. Congratulations Carol Settles on your new little boy. This is Carol's second pup from us. She has " Countess Remington", a Brinley/Winston pup.
