🐾 Spotlight on Gus!
At just 14 weeks old and 40 pounds, this mellow, big-pawed pup is already making himself right at home in Texas 💛
Gus came to the Dog Alliance from Colorado through fellow ADI-accredited organization Canine Partners of the Rockies —a wonderful example of how our community works together to raise the next generation of service dogs. Each year, ADI partners can welcome puppies from one another, and Gus is one very special addition.
Thanks to one of the Dog Alliance’s Board members, Michelle, Gus made the journey from Denver to Texas, where he was matched with his puppy raiser, Anne.
And he’s in very good hands—Gus is Anne’s 8th service dog in training! 🐶👏
She shares that Gus is calm, easygoing, and already best buds with her resident dogs...including Taco the Pug 🐾
With his giant paws and extra “growing room,” we think Gus may turn into a big, strong partner—perhaps even suited for mobility work one day.
But for now, he’s exactly where he needs to be: learning, growing, and soaking up love ❤️
One day, Gus will be paired with a Texas veteran—and that journey starts right here.
