Your dog might be ready for a new kind of adventure. 🐾

Agility training is a fun way for dogs to run, climb, think, and build confidence while working as a team with you.

And the best part? Your dog does not have to be an agility pro to get started.

Foundation classes help dogs learn the basics step by step, so they can build focus, confidence, and body awareness in a safe and positive way.

Big milestone for Gus!
Gus just graduated from Puppy Manners—his very first step on the journey to becoming a . He joined the Dog Alliance in early March as a 9-week-old puppy, traveling from Colorado as part of the Assistance Dogs International breeding cooperative. Since then, Gus and puppy raiser Anne have been hard at work building the skills every great dog needs—focus, confidence, and good manners.
And as you can see…all that hard work paid off. 🎓
Puppy Manners isn’t just for future service dogs—it’s the perfect foundation for every dog. Whether you have a brand-new puppy or an older dog who needs a refresher, our Manners classes help create happier, better-behaved companions.

Today, we remember and honor the brave men and women who gave everything in service to our country.

Their sacrifice will never be forgotten.

At The Dog Alliance, we are also deeply grateful for the veterans and military families in our community. It is an honor to stand beside those who have served and those who carry the weight of that sacrifice every day.

With the guidance of his puppy raiser, Betsy, he’s learning the steady, quiet skills that will one day make a life-changing difference.

🇺🇸🐾 Memorial Day paw-ty prep is officially underway! 🛒🎉
Margie is on quality-control duty… and by “quality control,” we mean a very thorough investigation of the H-E-B grocery bag. 🐶👃
Meanwhile, Ava is already seated and waiting for the celebration to begin (someone’s clearly in it for the snacks 🍰).
Whether you’re planning a backyard BBQ, a picnic, or a pup-approved party, don’t forget to stock up on favorites from your local H-E-B.
Wishing everyone a safe and meaningful as we remember those who served. ❤️💙

From competition field to lifelong partnership 💨🐾
Before becoming an official service dog, Maverick spent his weekends racing alongside Kevin and his "sister" Whippet Natasha in lure coursing competitions. It was more than just a sport—it was connection, community, and joy.
After successfully passing his Public Access Test, Maverick officially “retired” from competition in February 2026. Kevin made the decision to protect his partner from injury so Maverick can continue doing his important work every day.
Thankfully, Natasha keeps the tradition alive—giving Kevin a way to stay involved, stay social, and still enjoy the thrill of the field.
And of course, little Amara (4 months old!) is already making her mark as the newest Whippet in training… and the “belle of the ball” wherever she goes. 💗
These outings are about so much more than dogs—they’re about connection, confidence, and community for the veterans we serve.
🚗 Thank you to Austin Subaru for sponsoring opportunities like this and helping make these moments possible.

They’re on the way… 🐾
Special thanks to Dr. Curl at for confirming that Faith is expecting ... and we are busy preparing for June 10th!
Each puppy represents something much bigger: a future filled with independence, partnership, and hope for the who will one day be matched with these service dogs.
Now, we’re waiting with anticipation. Soon, we’ll be welcoming new life. And before long, these puppies will begin the incredible journey to become highly trained .
All of us are excited to bring you along for every step—from first wiggles to first lessons. 💛
👉 Stay tuned… the journey begins soon.

🐾 Spotlight on Gus!
At just 14 weeks old and 40 pounds, this mellow, big-pawed pup is already making himself right at home in Texas 💛
Gus came to the Dog Alliance from Colorado through fellow ADI-accredited organization Canine Partners of the Rockies —a wonderful example of how our community works together to raise the next generation of service dogs. Each year, ADI partners can welcome puppies from one another, and Gus is one very special addition.
Thanks to one of the Dog Alliance’s Board members, Michelle, Gus made the journey from Denver to Texas, where he was matched with his puppy raiser, Anne.
And he’s in very good hands—Gus is Anne’s 8th service dog in training! 🐶👏
She shares that Gus is calm, easygoing, and already best buds with her resident dogs...including Taco the Pug 🐾
With his giant paws and extra “growing room,” we think Gus may turn into a big, strong partner—perhaps even suited for mobility work one day.
But for now, he’s exactly where he needs to be: learning, growing, and soaking up love ❤️
One day, Gus will be paired with a Texas veteran—and that journey starts right here.
