Ashley Fondon: Community Builder & Instructor for Holloway Equestrian
Ashley started riding in 1998 at the age of 8 and hasn’t looked back since. Her early years were filled with diverse experiences across disciplines—from eventing and hunter jumpers to western play days—thanks in part to her parents, who owned and operated a show barn during her childhood. Horses quickly became more than a hobby; they became a way of life.
At 14, Ashley found a new home at the Becky Brown School of Horsemanship, a turning point that profoundly shaped her as a horsewoman. Under Becky’s mentorship, she deepened not only her riding skills but also her understanding of true horsemanship—respect, patience, and partnership. Ashley competed in the North Texas Eventing circuit up to Training Level before stepping away from competition due to financial challenges. Even then, horses never left her life. Throughout college and beyond, she returned to Becky’s whenever she could to take lessons and help with training rides.
While she spent over a decade running a successful photography business (AR Photography), shooting up to 25 weddings a year, horses remained her anchor. For 11 years, she juggled the hustle of entrepreneurship while always finding ways to stay connected to the riding world. Now, Ashley has the opportunity to shift her focus fully back to horses—and she couldn’t be more grateful.
She is thrilled to work alongside Holly and Drue to create an inclusive, inspiring space for horse-obsessed kids and adults alike. Her role focuses on branding, social media, community building, horse training, and instructing young riders. Ashley hopes to help build a program and community that mirrors the one that shaped her—a place where dreams are nurtured, horsemanship is celebrated, and lifelong riders are born.

Drue McLeod: Instructor and Coach for Holloway Equestrian

Drue McLeod’s journey with horses began in 1998 at her first Becky Brown Summer Camp, where a single summer sparked a lifelong passion for Eventing and Dressage. From those early days, she threw herself into the sport– rising through Becky’s program, assisting with lessons and camps, and competing on the show team with unwavering dedication.

As her skills advanced, Drue took her training to the next level, spending summers as a working student in Middleburg, Virginia. There, she had the invaluable opportunity to work under top-level eventing trainers, ultimately reaching the FEI 2* level and earning a spot on the Young Riders team.

Today, Drue brings that same commitment and experience to Holloway Equestrian, where she leads the Eventing arm of the Show Team. She takes pride in guiding students through both recognized and schooling shows and enjoys working with horses of all levels back at home. Drue is passionate about cultivating strong horse-and-rider partnerships, with a focus on solid fundamentals, confidence-building, and having fun in the process.

Holly Perkins: Owner & Instructor of Holloway Equestrian

Holly began training with the Becky Brown School of Horsemanship at the age of 7. She began competing at the age of 12. Holly has been able to train with many notable international coaches in both dressage and eventing. She has competed through the intermediate eventing level. In dressage competitions she has received her USDF bronze and silver medal. Early on, Holly displayed a passion for teaching, helping with lessons and camps as a teenager. She became a full time instructor on Becky’s team in 2016. In 2020, Holly took ownership of the school, now known as Holloway Equestrian. Holly’s high level of riding experience allows her to share a wealth of knowledge at all levels for children and adults.

As we celebrate five years of Holly Perkins' leadership, we're proud to introduce our next chapter: Holloway Equestrian.
Previously known as the Becky Brown School of Horsemanship, our program carries forward the same excellence in horsemanship, mentorship, and community established over the last 30 years.
Holly Perkins continues to lead the program with the same passion and commitment that has shaped our students and riders. She is joined by longtime partner and fellow equestrian, Drue McLeod. We’re thrilled to welcome Ashley Fondon to the team. Ashley brings new energy to our community engagement and will begin accepting students in the fall.
Holly, Drue, and Ashley are not just part of this program - they are products of it. They began their riding journeys together as children, and their deep bond and love of horses have brought them full circle — now united to lead and shape the program that shaped them.
As we grow, our mission remains the same: to provide a welcoming, encouraging space for riders of all levels to develop strong horsemanship skills, build confidence, and become part of a community that feels like family.
We’re honored by the continued support of our clients, students, and families — past and present — and we can’t wait to ride into this next chapter together.
