Unfortunately, dog training certifications and prestige on paper don’t guarantee real world results. Even highly decorated trainers make critical mistakes with dogs and clients.

At Dogslanding, we believe in balanced training, but we strictly reject the “one size fits all” approach so common in traditional training schools.

Cookie cutter programs force every dog into the same tools, timelines, and formats, such as immediately layering a prong collar, e collar, and leash onto a young puppy without considering their background, temperament, or mindset.

For many dogs, this rigid methodology creates heightened reactivity, poor socialization, and, in severe cases, triggers fear based aggression.

Our goal is simple: build confident, happy dogs that get to be dogs while learning to safely navigate the boundaries of the human world.

True progress requires clear communication, customized pacing, and a calm, calculated trainer who will give you honest feedback and advocate fiercely for your dog’s well being. Popular, big name programs often return dogs that are simply shut down rather than properly trained.

ANY tool can be aversive.

Only E-collar train with a professional. But also understand that any tool used improperly is harsh and can shut dogs down. That’s why we do training differently. We work on fostering healthy relationships, confidence building, and a slow, positive layering process for any tool (even a leash or crate).

The tools are not the problem; it’s the lack of communication and improper use.

Havoc needs your help. He has put in the work with training, he’s in an in between spot. This boy was nearly euthanized for a minor bite situation in the home he had lived in his whole life, but was instead surrendered to a trainer. He lived there for few weeks before needing more extensive training help, and he found us.

Havoc has excelled in all of his training programs. Now he just needs to meet the right person to give him the structure and fulfillment that he needs. He’s a loving 3 year old male Cane Corso.
