Dust Devil Ranch Sanctuary for Horses (DDR) is a horse rescue organization located in Southern Utah. Our purpose is to take in abused, neglected and abandoned horses from around the state. Because we believe in the humane treatment of horses, as well as all other animals, we provide food, shelter, medical care, rehabilitation, adoption services, a permanent home when necessary, and lots of love an

d attention so that they may enjoy the dignified life they deserve. Dust Devil Ranch Sanctuary for Horses (DDR) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit charitable organization, and as such, we are supported through the generosity of private and corporate donations and sponsors. Our loving volunteers...

Dust Devil Ranch relies solely on volunteers who generously donate their time to feed, exercise, groom, and clean stalls, as well as facility maintenance, fundraising, public education and special events. Most importantly, DDR volunteers provide daily love and attention for all of the horses that have found sanctuary at the rescue.

What I thought was a routine trip for Mat removal on Miss Sally… Was not she’s a lot older than I thought she was. She had a few more issues than I knew, going on when she had her wellness check.
Sally is now back with Harry, over Rainbow Bridge.

RIP Sally Cat 🐾😢🐈‍⬛✨🌈

I forgot to take a before shot! Long time coming we finally emptied the storage unit from 2014-15 only been inside maybe once in the last 11 years. Going to save ourselves $70 a month. Only a few things made it out alive. Everything else went to the dump whether it was brand new or used, most of it was broken stuff that was donated, that they couldn’t throw away. Just no time to sort through it and sell it and it was costing the RANCH money!! finally!! a big thank you to Joe, Mike and Kim!! 7 AM done by 9 AM. 🎉🎉

I disappeared for a couple of weeks for a very good reason. My son got married. ❤️ Instead of posting every day like I planned, I spent my time, along with Joe, my new in-laws & new friends, helping build a wedding from the ground up. We worked right up until the morning of the ceremony, and every tired moment was worth it. Now I’m home, back in the studio, and the ranch, grateful for the memories and ready to get back to creating.

I tried to Share this from my friend
Dr.Kim Henneman’s page… I have know this for years, it started before I left from Maryland about 17 years ago if I remember, one trip in I saw my regular vet of years…. Maybe one or two doc in there and a horse vet…. Then multiple vets, price doubled… you could not choose who you saw. Then it was pre surgical exams, blood work….. test this and that then only a window of time before you had to do it again, what was $100 -125 was then 300-500. It slowly crept into Utah over the years, emg clinics…. It’s insane. And yes I have been taken, my Spock has had bills topping $60,000 or so, in his 10 year life…. But I love him. And it was all prob unnecessary, from separation anxiety. 😢 my son’s dog needs to go in for a little bump on his tooth from extra gum growth. It’s gonna cost $2000 to take it off. And that’s in Phoenix. so if you can find a small vet, keep him talk to him. Ask how you can help. I don’t know if there’s any left the corporate America hasn’t tried to take over and succeeded with money dangling.
