Dust Devil Ranch Sanctuary for Horses (DDR) is a horse rescue organization located in Southern Utah. Our purpose is to take in abused, neglected and abandoned horses from around the state. Because we believe in the humane treatment of horses, as well as all other animals, we provide food, shelter, medical care, rehabilitation, adoption services, a permanent home when necessary, and lots of love an

d attention so that they may enjoy the dignified life they deserve. Dust Devil Ranch Sanctuary for Horses (DDR) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit charitable organization, and as such, we are supported through the generosity of private and corporate donations and sponsors. Our loving volunteers...

Dust Devil Ranch relies solely on volunteers who generously donate their time to feed, exercise, groom, and clean stalls, as well as facility maintenance, fundraising, public education and special events. Most importantly, DDR volunteers provide daily love and attention for all of the horses that have found sanctuary at the rescue.

Happy New Year!!

It’s that time of year again… tax time.

We THANK EVERYONE who donated this year.
Here is to caring for these guys another year.

On that note, TAX LETTERS!
For those of you who donated via, Facebook, PayPal or a 3rd Party donation Site (some of you donated after I started the Dust Devil Venmo, you have that donation Email at the time of giving or in your Transaction history.) You received a receipt immediately upon donating, please check your email or your History.

For those of you that Donated Cash, check, Zelle or Via Venmo on my personal page you will receive a donation letter via email or Snail mail. Very soon!! Some of you asked for yours ASAP, and those people have theirs.

If you donated on “Gift with donation” or an Art Class, you will Not receive a donation letter.

If by Mid February you think you are due a tax receipt, but did not recieve one, please reach out with your donation receipt info amount and proof of how you sent it. I’m happy to investigate.

UPDATE: Maui went to heaven….🌈🐾🐈

Currently at Southwest Animal Emergency,with Maui….. he lost use of his legs all of a sudden about an hour and a half ago, now…. An hour to St. George…. it was a rough ride down, labored breathing and high heart rate. Pray for Maui today. It’s not looking good in my eyes… 😢

Jake had a quick turn yesterday, not eating and sudden blindness, stumbling and walking into things. He was quiet over night, for the first time in 13 almost years. Thank you to Dr. Mortinson for coming out to the ranch today and help him cross over. RIP Jake, we will miss you tomorrow morning. 💔🌈

Halfway through GivingTuesday and doing my best to hold things together here. The last three days have been full of emergency vet visits for Tazzie (our sweet dog) and Spock (our tough little cat), and the worry and lack of sleep have made today feel extra long.

I didn’t get back online until late this morning, and donations have been slow. We’re doing everything we can to make it through to our spring fundraiser, and every dollar today will help keep the horses safe, warm, and supported until then.
