Yesterday was such a hard day on so many levels. Yesterday morning about 2:30 am I woke up to check on the puppies and two puppies (blue and red) were not doing very well. They were cold, not really wanting to eat and started to not thrive. So I got them on a heating pad, warmed up some puppy milk and started to help them. My husband and I worked on them for over 2 hours till we realized nothing we were doing was helping them. They were limp and lifeless. It was hard to finally call it quits since they were fine a few hours ago. Then we went to work and one of my kids was helping keep them from being squished while we were away. But one more puppy previously doing very well was now cold and lifeless (lavender). So unfortunately we lost 3 puppies in less then 12 hours. I rushed them to the vet to see if their was an infection. But there was no evidence they were sick, the vet did prescribe them some antibiotics as just incase. Also Rubie was prescribed some meds. As of this morning everyone seems to be doing well. This all came as a shock to us since we have done 5 litters and only lost 2 puppies total of all the litters. Were all paying a little more attention to the amount of feeding time for each puppy and making sure everyone gets a chance to eat. So from 8 puppies to 5 is a hard pill to swallow, but were thinking positive. We now have 2 boys and 3 girls.

After a Long day starting at 6am and ending at 8 pm. We finally have all 8 healthy Pups. Mama and Babies are doing excellent. The kids are so excited to see them and help out. Now on to some rest. 😅
