🎄🐾 Holiday Toxic Plant Guide for Pets 🐾🎄
Keep your furry family members safe this season! Many popular holiday plants can be dangerous if nibbled on. Here’s a quick guide to what’s safe, what’s risky, and what to avoid.

-Poinsettias – Mildly toxic; can cause drooling, vomiting, and skin irritation.
-Holly (English & American) – Causes vomiting, diarrhea, and discomfort from spiny leaves.
-Mistletoe – More dangerous; can trigger vomiting, diarrhea, low heart rate, and in large amounts, neurological signs.
-Pine Needles – Sharp needles can irritate the GI tract; ingestion of tree water may cause stomach upset or illness.
-Amaryllis – Highly toxic; can lead to vomiting, tremors, and abdominal pain.
-Lilies (true lilies—NOT peace lilies) – Extremely dangerous for cats; even small amounts can cause kidney failure.
⚠️ Caution Plants
-Christmas Cactus – Generally mild; may cause upset stomach if eaten.
-Christmas Rose (Hellebore) – Can cause drooling, abdominal pain, and diarrhea.
