I'm watching some earliest livestream vids of the first days of the rescue. It was 2019 trying to sound like I knew what I was talking about but having a great time doing it.
I never imagined it would turn into what it did. I never thought a fish rescue was a real thing... well WE MADE IT SO!!
🐠 Our Journey...
Many of you have been with us from the very beginning, and for that, we are forever grateful.
What started as a simple desire to rescue unwanted fish quickly grew into something much bigger. Over the years, Kentucky Fish & Tank Rescue has been blessed to save and rehome countless fish, educate new hobbyists, and introduce children and families to the incredible world beneath the water's surface.
Along the way, we've had some amazing volunteers who poured their hearts into this mission. Today, every one of them has gone on to do wonderful things in life, and we couldn't be prouder of each of them. They will always be part of our story.
Like so many families, COVID changed the direction of our lives. As our remodeling business grew, it naturally became our primary focus. Even so, our passion for rescuing animals never faded.
Today, we continue to quietly take in unwanted fish, turtles, reptiles, and other animals whenever we have the space and ability. We don't do it for recognition. We do it because we genuinely love these animals, and every life deserves kindness, compassion, and a second chance.
We don't know exactly what the future holds for Kentucky Fish & Tank Rescue, but one thing will never change: our hearts. As long as we're able, we'll continue helping whenever and wherever we can.
Thank you to everyone who has supported us over the years—whether you've adopted an animal, volunteered your time, donated supplies, shared our page, or simply encouraged us along the way. You are part of this family.
The journey isn't over. It's simply taking a new path, and we hope you'll continue walking it with us.
