I attended a CCA AFC cat show this last weekend to honor a Maine C**n breeder and good friend who passed away this last March. The show was held in her hometown of Belleville, Ontario. I was able to show my new kitten, Bonneamie Shafee (Finneas) of Furensics. (His registration paperwork should be straightened out soon.) Though a little scared on Saturday, Finneas made every final and was awarded 3rd Best of the Best at the end of the day. By Sunday morning he was settled and relaxed and again made all finals and this time he was awarded Best of the Best!! Each Maine C**n entered received a certificate of attendance, and a special rosette was awarded to the top Maine C**ns in each class. Finneas was awarded Best Maine C**n kitten and received a beautiful collar of rhinestones. I was so proud to be a part of this tribute and to be able to show this beautiful Maine C**n kitten. Thank you to CCA staff (Katrina) who helped me get registration so I could enter, CCA judges who gave this fellow a proper judging and to the Club and exhibitors who welcomed me warmly. Most of all thank you to Johanna Uuranto of Bonneamie for this exceptional kitten who I adore!

Born on the "perfect date" April 25th from the movie Miss Congeniality, Gracie, Cheryl and Karen went to the vet today. Jill, the vet tech took Karen back to have blood tests. Dr. Hamblin came back carrying her saying "Karen demanded to see the supervisor" haha! All went well. First vaccinations are done and all appear very healthy.

Saying goodbye to my Wolverine was not easy, but I am certain he has a wonderful loving home now. Heather and her son made the early morning trip from Ohio to pick up this little guy. Home safe and sound he is settled with his new collar and bell! This is what it's all about.

This photo came up in FB memories today. It is a shame what the VA cemetery has done, or sometimes doesn't do to gravesights, including the headstones. The rules are a bit ridiculous. Someone tell me what is wrong with making a resting place beautiful. We should be able to adorn it (tactfully) and keep it up ourselves. This make me want to go up there and re-do it.

He is here!! It took a lot of time and effort, but he is here. Thank you, Johanna for letting me have this beautiful boy, and Tristan for getting him here safely. I call him Fin, short for Fineas or Finnigan like in begin again. I've worked 38 years to achieve and keep a look that I prefer. It's a look that could be recognized by breeders and other exhibitors when we were in a showhall. After all these years, it's time to quit or add something. After all these years you'd think it would have been easier to add. This is my first overseas experience. I love this boy. I loved him the minute I saw his photo. He has my Frankie's face and his color!!! Though a little extreme in the ear department, I believe he will enhance my moderate look and not change it. On top of all that, he is a sweetheart! I am so happy.
