Owners Val & Tony worked their magic on our scared little guy Checkers! While Val groomed, Tony kept him calm.

Thank you Val & Tony. What a wonderful first time experience you provided our precious puppy. We don't think people realize the unstable backgrounds these dogs come from and often this is the first experience they have being shown love, kindness and that they matter.
You've made a huge difference in Checkers young life and set him up for future success!

Fluffs & Scruffs need a new foster for 6 month old, Bear, male Yorkie. His puppy ways are upsetting an elder dog in the home!

Preferably in Coachella Valley, yorkie experienced! Please tag and share!

He is fully vetted except neuter (when age appropriate). Sweet boy but initially scared of new experiences as he wasn't exposed to people, places or things as a baby. No small children please. He is head shy from small children. 😕

Her family are leaving the Country forever, flying out, Tuesday. We will rescue back her but need a temporary foster. She is in Los Angeles, CA. Very tiny, lives with a pit bull and shepherd mix. Good with kids we are told.

MIMI ROBERTS HAS GONE TO HEAVEN

Aka "Bridget" OC Shelter pull.

Fluffs & Scruffs, A Dog Rescue extend our deepest heartfelt condolences to our friends, fosters and adopters Betty Roberts and her husband Mario. (I'm copying and pasting as original post is friends only).

From Betty:
"I had to say goodbye to a very special little girl, my little Mimi, I adopted Mimi, at the time of adoption, her name was Bridget, but she looked more like a Mimi to me than a Bridget, so I changed her name to Mimi Roberts. Fluffs & Scruffs, my sweet friend Lisa Michelle Corona, pulled her for me from Orange County shelter, back in 2014, and I brought her home with me. She loved her new home from the moment she stepped in to meet her other fur family members, CoCo, Peppers, Babee and Gurle. She grew into the most beautiful vibrant smart and feisty little girl, from her once timid and shy self. I had the blessing of sharing life with her for 11 years, MiMi was 7 when I adopted her.

She brought me the most joyful moments, over the years with her little attitude, her gentle spirit when she wanted to just hang out on the couch and chill with us. Mimi had a beautiful, complete and full life with not a dull moment, she loved to eat, and I loved to spoil her with the best of everything because she deserved it.

Her love was and is unconditional, and I will be forever thankful to God for allowing me the privilege of sharing my heart, and the time he gave me with her.

Fly free over Rainbow Bridge my sweet little girl, and one day I will meet you as you, and my other fur babies before you wait patiently for our reunion. I will Miss your presence, but know you will always be my little shadow where ever I go. 🌈💕🥲🙏🙏🌈💕"

We pray for Betty & Mario and the pack and will be forever grateful for the beautiful life that was given. As dogs live in the present, I'm sure Mimi never gave a thought to her past abusive life. She blossomed as a dog will under expert care and a multitude of love.

So many that we pulled from 2013 forward are now passing on. We are also experiencing the same with our unadoptables we kept for over a decade.

Please keep our dear friends in your prayers. 😇

Message from current foster:
Hello, my name is Ollie (though my foster mom calls me Louie).
My story started at the Carson shelter, where I was abandoned by my previous owner for being deaf. A family adopted me and took me to the vet, where they discovered I’m deaf. Sadly, they decided they couldn’t keep me and posted on Nextdoor, saying they’d either rehome me or return me to the shelter. That’s when my foster mom stepped in to save me, and she’s been caring for me ever since.
I’m a Maltese/Dachhound mix, about 2 years old, 15 lbs, neutered, fully vaccinated, and microchipped. I’m a healthy, playful boy who loves having fun with both humans and other dogs. I’d be happiest in a home with children or a canine sibling to keep me company and play with me all day long but wouldn’t mind being the only dog as long as my owner stays home with me most of the time.

If you’re looking for a loyal, loving companion, please consider giving me a FOREVER home!
I don’t deserve to be bouncing back from place to place. I am ready to be with a family forever.

FOSTER OR ADOPTER AND MEDICAL PLEDGES NEEDED FOR BELLA

This gorgeous, sweet,three year old, akc papered female (small) standard needs medical pledges and a foster or adopter!

Our usual protocol of spay, dental, f***l to lab, heartworm test, dental, shots, and microchip. As most of you know, our Veterinarian has retired. Navigating finding a new Vet with similar pricing and not $1800 being quoted for a dental has been ridiculous.

Bella's Mom has Alzheimers which two days ago was diagnosed as advancing faster than expected. We need to help her lovely daughter rehome Bella at this point. She's had no vetting, so here we are. Bella is great with kids and people. Cat's unknown.

Happy National Dog Day to Addie Mae!

Our amazing friend Mary Boville fostered Addie and her sister who were owner surrendered under quite deplorable and shady circumstances. Addie was pretty messed up with eye problems, skin issues, rotten teeth and the kitchen sink. She looked nothing like the Princess she is now. Mary poored so much love into Addie that she healed beautifully. Here she is last month on her 8th Birthday! Love you Mary and Jenny Boville! ❤️❤️❤️

Happy National Dog Day Teddy! Our shelter boy is the second dog that Kathy Muraviov have adopted from us after their sweet Charlie passed away. Teddy is a truly lovely boy who I personally fostered. He's very protective of Kathy and her hubby and a biter on occasion but they've worked with him and as time passes we pray he'll finally feel safe. Love you guys! ❤️❤️❤️
