Russell County Fair & Horse Show There are over 40 committee chairmen and nearly 200 volunteers that bring together this annual nine - day event.

The Russell County Fair in Castlewood, Virginia is a non-profit organization that celebrates annually with a particular theme and is careful to include every element of Russell County possible. The Russell County Fair has been voted the best fair in Virginia for 11 of the past 14 years, dating back to 1998.

All divisions will compete in western wear, with Junior Miss, Miss, Elegant Miss, and Elite Miss competing in both western wear and evening gown. Miss Division ONLY will compete in private interview and on-stage question. Optional phases of competition include photogenic and sponsorship queen, as well as top scoring interview award for Miss contestants.

Miss Russell County Fair will take place on August 15th, 2026 in Lebanon High School’s Theater at 1 pm. Rehearsals will be held in the same location on August 13th, time TBD. Message this page for further questions and information! Russell County Fair & Horse Show
