Employee Spotlight: Maggie, Veterinary Assistant

🐶Nix, 8yo FS Husky Rescue
🐶Rivia (Rivy), 3yo FS Husky Rescue

Meet one of our lovely assistants, Maggie, and her two adorable huskies, Nix and Rivy! Nix and Rivy are rescues from Jailbreak Husky Rescue. They are sassy wild floofs that spend their days perching at windows to watch wildlife, sunbathing on their porch, and of course, love running around in the snow during winter.

Maggie has worked with Brekke Veterinary Clinic since June of 2022, first in a position of Client Service Representative and then as a Veterinary Assistant for the last two years. She comes from a six year background in doggy daycare, which translates to her experience and care as a VA, and her passion continues to grow! Maggie has always felt drawn to caring for animals in whatever capacity, and has a special affinity for client compassion and education. After being a client of Dr. Jackie's, she decided to work in the veterinary field as she loves to care for sick patients and see them leave with tails wagging at the end of their visit. She has a passion for helping clients understand their pet's needs and loves working with our primary care doctors to learn more about veterinary medicine, with a special interest in the importance and meaning behind blood work values and radiology.
