The Barkington is Wilmington‘s first pet hotel and day camp. We are so thrilled to provide you with this one-of-a-kind experience to spoil your beloved fur kids while you’re away. From twin beds & TVs, to relaxing spa services, we are exploding with excitement to share with you!

The Barkington is owned and founded by Lourdes Perez and Chris Felmet, a Wilmington couple with an immense passion for the industry. Three years ago Lourdes Perez, a UNCW Biology graduate and pre-veterinary student created, grew, and managed a different type of boarding facility. This time around she was able to construct her dream facility and become owner of her own place with Chris Felmet, who naturally worked his way into the industry 2 years ago by using his photography skills to give our clients exactly what they love.... professional photos of their dog! We are confident to say The Barkington will be your dog’s FAVORITE place to romp & relax!
