Todays subject is the dandelion.
Native to Asia and Europe, the dandelion has been recorded in ancient writings, and Arabian physicians used the plant in medicine in the tenth and eleventh centuries. Its main use has been dandelion tea for multiple reasons such as detoxification, systemic inflammation, constipation, it's taraxasterol content helps as in it's anti inflammatory properties. The tea made of the dandelion root is used for liver health, immune system health, lower blood pressure and even appetite stimulant for those struggling with eating enough food.
Simply collect the root and leaves of the plants, dry them at 150°F for 20-30 minutes until dry. Grind and steep in hot water with 1tbsp of honey for a sweet health aid in your day. Drink up to 3x a day, preferably before meals.
Some people are allergic to dandelion tea, so test for allergies first. :)
