🐾 Day Stay Spotlight: Coup 🐾

Some of our Day Stay guests began their Urban Tails journey in Day Camp before finding that Day Stay was the perfect fit for them.

That was exactly the case for Coup.

As a young pup, Coup joined us for Day Camp, but when he reached our neuter requirement age, he found his place in Day Stay—and he's been a regular ever since.

If there were an award for OG Day Stay Pup, Coup would win it paws down.

This handsome 3-year-old Golden Retriever has been keeping our team on their toes for years. We've had the pleasure of watching him grow from a goofy young pup into the incredible dog he is today.

Whether he's showing off his impressive list of tricks, convincing staff to stop for extra snuggles, turning a game of keep-away into an Olympic sport, or chasing the hose around the yard, Coup knows how to make every visit memorable.

But if you ask him about his true passion in life...

📦 Box shredding.

Nothing makes Coup happier than tearing into a treat-filled box and putting his detective skills to work in search of every last snack.

We've loved being part of Coup's journey over the years and watching him grow into the amazing dog he is today. Dogs like Coup are what make Day Stay so special, and we're grateful for every visit we get with him. 💙🐾💚

We're currently looking for our next Lodging Counselor to join us in providing individualized, enrichment-focused care for our guests.

Whether she's caring for guests, supporting her teammates, or helping navigate a busy day, she approaches every situation with confidence, patience, and professionalism.

🔥The ground is hotter than you think.🔥

With Casper temperatures expected to climb into the 90s this weekend, it's important to remember that the ground beneath your feet—and your dog's paws—can become much hotter than the air temperature.

Asphalt can reach 140°F or more on a 90°F day, making it hot enough to cause painful paw burns within minutes.

Before heading out:
🐾Walk early in the morning or later in the evening
🐾Stick to grassy or shaded areas when possible
🐾Bring water for both you and your pup
🐾Try the 7-second test before every walk 👇🏼

Place the back of your hand on the surface for 7 seconds. If it's too hot for your hand, it's too hot for their paws.

A little planning can go a long way in keeping summer adventures safe, comfortable, and fun.

To our favorite humans...

Some of us have moms.
Some of us have dads.
Some of us have grandparents, best friends, roommates, kids, coworkers, or entire families wrapped around our paws.

And honestly?
We love all of you equally… as long as snacks are involved.

Today, we're celebrating Favorite Humans Day — the halfway point between Mother's Day and Father's Day — and we think that deserves celebrating.

Because love doesn't have to fit into one title.

The people who show up for us, spoil us, comfort us, walk us, clean up after us, and love us like family... those are our favorite humans.

So today, we're celebrating ALL of the humans behind the leashes, treat jars, muddy paw prints, and couch cuddles.

Thank you for the walks, the treats, the adventures, the belly rubs, and the unconditional love.

TWO YEARS!

Two years of Victoria means two years of quick wit, a big heart, and dogs that are probably just a little obsessed with her.💙

From the very beginning, Victoria has brought so much personality, humor, and energy to the Urban Tails team — but behind the laughs is someone who genuinely cares deeply about the quality of care we provide every single guest.

She has fully embraced our enrichment-forward approach, always looking for ways to make stays more engaging, comforting, and individualized for the dogs and cats in our care. Whether she’s setting up activities, learning new handling techniques, or helping guests feel more at home, Victoria constantly pushes herself to grow.

Of course, Victoria doesn't just keep our guests entertained — she keeps the staff entertained too. Whether she's breaking into a dance in the middle of her shift as if nobody is watching, delivering one of her perfectly timed sassy comments, or finding a way to make us laugh during a busy day, she brings a sense of fun that makes Urban Tails a brighter place to work.

One of our favorite things about her is her drive to learn. Over the last two years, she has worked hard to better understand all the different aspects of our operations, continuing to expand her knowledge and skills as a pet care professional.

Victoria, thank you for the laughter, the dedication, the growth, and the care you bring to Urban Tails every day. We are incredibly lucky to have you as part of the UT family. ✨
