Mable Update 🐾

We are so happy to share some wonderful news from Mable’s recheck at WSU!

Her follow-up CT scan showed that her tumor has shrunk, and based on her progress, we are now able to begin weaning her off her chemotherapy medications.

Mable continues to amaze us with how well she has handled treatment, and we are incredibly grateful to the teams helping guide her care along the way. She has truly been such a champion through all of this.

Thank you to everyone who has continued to support and cheer on our sweet girl. 🤍🐾

Mable Update 🐾

We have another update to share on Mable!

Mable visited WSU yesterday for a CT scan to help plan her upcoming radiation therapy. As always, she was the most perfect girl for the team and with her extensive “clinic experience,” she even helped out with a little shaving training. 😊

Mable’s case continues to be very unique. Her oncologist shared that this type of tumor is one that is not normally seen in dogs, so the team will be doing additional research (including reviewing human medical studies) to help determine the best next steps for her radiation plan.

While the doctors work on the details, Mable is feeling good and staying happy, comfortable, and very loved.

Thank you all for continuing to support and cheer on our sweet girl. 🤍🐾

Mable Update 🐾

We’re happy to share another positive update on Mable.

She is now in her second week of Palladia and continues to do very well. Mable is still eager for her daily walks—some days a bit shorter than others—and her appetite has remained excellent. Most importantly, she’s feeling good and enjoying her days.

We’re taking things one day at a time, celebrating the good moments, and making sure Mable is surrounded by lots of love as she continues her treatment journey.

Thank you to everyone who continues to keep Mable in their thoughts and cheer her on. 🤍🐾

Mable Update 🐾

We have another update to share on Mable.

Mable has started treatment with Palladia and is doing well so far, with no concerning side effects at this time. She continues to feel good and remains her sweet, happy self.

Our next step will be a consultation with Dr. Fidel at Washington State University next month to begin planning radiation therapy as part of her ongoing treatment.

We are encouraged by how well Mable is tolerating treatment and will continue to monitor her closely as we move forward. Thank you to our community for the continued support and kind thoughts for Mable. 🤍

Mable Update 🐾

We have an update on Mable after her CT scan and oncology consult.

The scan showed that Mable has a mediastinal tumor, and there are small nodules in her lungs that are consistent with metastatic disease. While this isn’t the news we were hoping for, we’re grateful to finally have answers and a plan moving forward.

At this time, surgery is not an option. The oncology team discussed treatment options with us, including starting Mable on Palladia, an oral cancer medication, with the goal of slowing the disease and keeping her comfortable and happy for as long as possible. Radiation therapy may also be considered down the road.

Mable continues to be her sweet, perfect self, and she’s being showered with all the love she deserves. We are grateful to the oncology team for their care and guidance, and we will continue to monitor her closely as we move forward with treatment.

Thank you so much for the love, support, and kindness you’ve shown Mable. It truly means the world to us. 🤍🐶

Mable Update 🐾

Tomorrow, Mable will be heading to BluePearl Tacoma for a CT scan. This will help us to better understand the mass and see if surgery is an option.

We're taking things one step at a time and are grateful for everyone who's been keeping Mable in their thoughts. More updates soon.

💙 Mable Update 💙
Mable made it to her appointment at Northwest Veterinary Imaging and was an absolute rockstar patient. We’re so grateful to the amazing team who helped care for her:

✨ Dr. Misty McNeil for performing her ultrasound
✨ Dr. Laura Black and Dr. Sarah Larosche at Specialty VetLab for getting results to us so quickly and taking time to talk things through
✨ Dr. Fidel at WSU for helping guide us on next best steps

At this time, the ultrasound confirmed a large mass in Mable’s chest. Results are currently pointing toward either a thymoma or a thyroid carcinoma. Additional results are still pending to help us determine which one, so we can move forward with treatment and possible surgery.

Thank you all for the continued love and support for Dr. Kelley and Mable. 🐾💙
