DSK Dogs really can do it all!
Last week at the BCSA National Specialty, DSK Dogs once again claimed all the placements in the Janet Larson Versatility competition. This competition is meant to highlight the true versatility of the BC breed by requiring dogs to earn qualifying scores in herding and accumulating points throughout the week based on their scores in herding, agility, rally/obedience, and others.
Not only did these dogs earn qualifying 1st through 5th place, they did so by competing at the highest levels of all the sports they competed in. Each earned placements with very good scores in the advanced levels of herding, with wins, HIT/RHITs, and overall awards earned! Zayne and Zuko both got Premier QQs in agility, both days, earning them even more points. Everyone finished the week by earning high scores and even some HTQ/HCs in Rally, and the top 4 dogs also earned competitive scores in both Utility and Open on Saturday, with all earning placements as well as HIT/HC.
After an entire week straight of competing in various sports, these dogs shined all the way through! They won classes on the very first day of the week as well as the very last day! These BCs are a true testament to both their breeding and training as not just versatile dogs, but top athletes in their sports.
Kim Berkley and her dogs have won the Janet Larson Versatility competition every year it’s been offered since 2015, a truly impressive feat!
