When the monsoon hit yesterday and parts of our facility flooded, Sarah didnโ€™t hesitate. Every dog was moved to safety โ€” a bit dryer and protected. But this storm made one thing painfully clear: we need better, stronger shelter for the dogs who depend on us.

Weโ€™re pushing forward with renovations, the container conversion is underway, and new dog doors are on the way. But we canโ€™t finish this without you.

Timber is a beautiful black purebred lab that we are rehoming. She is AKC registered and born 7/2024. She is a little bit shy. It seems like she was not treated too kindly but wants to just be loved and around kind people. She will need training. We will have her spayed, get a current rabies, and microchip. She does have all her paperwork from the previous owner.

Cedar Oaks Rescue is reaching out to see if anyone would like to sponsor a dogโ€™s spay or neuter surgery.

Last week, six of our dogs were spayed or neutered, and we have another five heading in today! These procedures are essential to helping our rescue dogs stay healthy and ready for adoption, but the costs add up quickly.

Not everyone has the time to volunteer, and fostering may not be possible for everyone right now. Sponsoring a dog is another wonderful way to make a difference in a rescue dogโ€™s life.

Your sponsorship can help cover:

๐Ÿ’‰ Required vaccinations -$50
๐Ÿฅ Basic veterinary care needed to prepare them for adoption (priceless)

Cohiba

If youโ€™ve ever wondered where Cohiba got his name, I let his foster dad choose it. Just Google โ€œCohibaโ€ and youโ€™ll understand! ๐Ÿ˜Š

Cohiba came to us from a hoarding situation and has made incredible progress since then. Heโ€™s learning how to simply be a dogโ€”discovering the joy of toys, playing with his buddy Bruno, and building confidence every day.

We are so proud of how far Cohiba has come. Watching him learn, grow, and enjoy life has been truly rewarding.

The best part? Cohiba is now ready for adoption and looking for his forever home!

Cindy and her sister came to us from a breeder who was no longer able to care for his dogs. She is now looking for a patient and understanding family to help her adjust to her life.

Cohiba has a very important daily job at his foster homeโ€ฆ Toy Relocation Specialist! ๐Ÿงธ๐Ÿพ

Every single day, Cohiba carefully gathers his favorite toys from inside the house and proudly transports them out into the yard. Why? We have no idea. Maybe heโ€™s decorating. Maybe heโ€™s opening an outdoor toy store. Maybe he just likes keeping his humans guessing!

The funny part? He never seems concerned about bringing them back inside. Thatโ€™s apparently someone elseโ€™s responsibility. ๐Ÿ˜‚

When heโ€™s not busy managing his toy collection, Cohiba is being his usual calm, sweet, potty-trained self and dreaming about finding his forever family.
