A very special and important update to all our fellow groomers!
Our industry holds tremendous importance. Grooming is not merely an aesthetic service; it is an essential component of animal health, welfare, and client education. In an unregulated field, the presence of our professional association ensures that the highest standards of safety, ethics, and expertise are upheld. We believe in advocating for both groomers and the animals entrusted to their care, and we know the only way forward is through strong, united, and well-resourced leadership that is based on community, education, and transparency.
As we reflect on this past year, it has become evident that our current membership dues have not provided the resources necessary to fully realize the educational initiatives, classes, and outreach efforts. Building and sustaining a professional association requires more than passion alone—it demands reliable funding, administrative support, and careful planning to ensure both immediate impact and long-term growth.
For this reason, our monthly membership rate will be increasing to $150 annually, effective August 27th, 2025. This adjustment is not taken lightly—it is a necessary step to strengthen our infrastructure and to sustain the programs that matter most to us: expanded educational opportunities, greater accessibility, outreach to industry speakers and programs, and the resources required to elevate the perception and professionalism of grooming as a whole.
Your membership is an investment in the future of this industry. By contributing, you are directly supporting initiatives that promote higher standards, create professional recognition, and expand opportunities for community building, professional growth and education. Together, we can build a foundation that is sustainable, impactful, and representative of the best this profession has to offer.
With this change, we have enhanced several changes. First and foremost, our new website: www.ArizonaGroomers.com allows for ease of access for potential groomers and clients. As important as regulation is to us, it is also very important to the clients and communities we serve.
Therefore, we have upgraded our website and it's features to a new and polished "Find A Groomer Directory" that allows potential clients to find and call you easier. There are special filters where individuals can seek out if you're cat only, dog only, mobile--and even if you do rabbits!
With this new website, we have a membership portal which allows for payment options should you like to utilize this potion.
Current members will still have access to the previous directory. If you would like to upgrade, please contact Joslyn Williams Steen. New Memberships can be made at the website above. Membership links for renewals will be sent out tonight.
